OBX!

This summer was great! It started out boring, but then everyone started about going to the "beach" and going on the big ride. They also said we were going to go on the big buh byes. This drove me crazy.

The night before the big ride, my cage got put in the car. I was nervous at first, but then i passed out on the kitchen floor. I started hearing the family move around, and then, suddenly, all the lights came on, and things started getting carried out to the car. Mom was screaming like crazy! Finally, after a long time, they loaded me in the car, and off we went! I love a good ride in the car, and i managed to get back to sleep.

12 Hours later.......

The ride turned into the worst ride ever! I love to go in the car, but twelve hours, down through Pennesylvania and Virginia and a few other states i heard, ended ended up in a line of other cars, looking at a big.... ferry? I kept hearing people say "Hatteras"

After waiting a little bit, we got on this ferry. I had never seen anything like this before. The air smelled funny, and it was like the big car, with a bunch of other little cars on it, was flying across a big bowl with green water in it. Then, the ferry stopped, and i got loaded back into the car and continued driving again. This ride was shorter, though. Soon, we ended up at a little house on a dead end street. There was no grass in the yard, but rather mulch and sand.

I later found out i was on Ocracoke Island, NC. It is the island at the bottom of the Outer Banks. Ocracoke only has a year round population of just over 700 people. It was pretty hot, so i only got to go out and explore after it got cooler out. I also went to this beach, which was pretty cool until i got close to the water, then I got scared. The waves weren't to big, but i wasn't taking any chances. I am not a beach dog.

All to soon, the big buh byes was over, and i was eager to get home. I had been bummed out for the past few days. I wanted my toys and my home back. we went home, andlife returned to normal.

Nobody loves me!

I am stressing out! no one wants to play with me! everything was going great until i got my burrito bone taken away from me. Melissa had every reason to, though. The bone wasn't very small, but it was small enough for me to fit it in my mouth and try to chew it ALL up and swallow it at once. I always try to do this, but i never learn that if i attempt to swallow the bone whole, it gets taken off me.

i just got yelled at by Melissa because i ran in with a lens from a pair of glasses. I just can't help it! if i see something shiny and interesting, i just have to attempt to eat it.

now William is going to play with me with his soccer ball. Soccer is my most favorite sport in the whole world, because I can easily push the ball where i need it to go. I'm off to have fun!

Easter!!!!!

Easter was awesome! I got up early and watched mom and dad cook breakfast and begin to prepare a ham that was bigger then me. After a while, it got to hot in the kitchen, so I went to my sister Melissa's (She's human, of course!) room and walked around on her bed a little bit before I lay down and took a little nap. Her room is always the coldest in the house because she likes it that way, but there is a large abundance of socks in there that I like to transplant to different parts of the house.

after the family left for church, I hung out with my idol, Kevin (The one who is marrying Melissa), before I took a nap for a while. when I got up from the nap, everyone was back at the house, and things were going NUTS! Grandma was even there. Mom brought three baskets down for the kids of the family, plus a few things wrapped up for me. Right away, I knew there was something rawhide in one of the presents, and I was right! Dad got me some rawhide burritos that smell like meat. Nobody else likes the smell of them, but I do. I spent most of the day eating one of the burritos and ignoring my food, so eventually the burrito got taken away. Not a moment to soon, however. I could chew one of thise until my teeth fell out! I also received a squeaker toy that is a plastic rock with a rope going through it. The squeaker in it is so annoying, and I LOVE IT!!!!

I'm headed to bed now to lay on my back and snore, like usual. it's been a long busy day filled with all the things I love: People, rawhide, squeaky toys, and Kevin.
