A Lilly By Any Other Name... Is NOT Me!

Things Are Starting To Disappear ...

Mommy and daddy have been super busy lately, making plans, and phone calls, and on their computers. They say we're "relocating." I know what a "road trip" is, and I even know what "going on holiday" means (that's a doggy vacation, for those not in the know...) but what is "relocating?" Best I can tell, that means a super-LONG road trip. That ought to be fun....

So... mommy has started to bring these flat things into the house. She starts messing with them, and next thing I know, they're square... how about that! Strangest thing. But what's more strange.... mommy puts things into them, closes them, and *poof * the house gets emptier. One-by-one, she carries them out to her truck, takes them away, and then makes more squares to fill. She keeps doing that and soon there won't be anything left in the house. And get this.... the other day, mommy said something about giving my favorite sofa and chair away to my human brother who just got his own place to live. What am I supposed to do then? Nap on the floor? Come on ... something not right about that. Let the boy sit on the floor a while...

Bark More later ...

Daddy... can you take me to get my hunting license....?

The great Leaf-Hunter is back!!

Sissy is complaining about the mess in the house, because of all the leaves I have hunted and brought home. She says I need to clean up after myself. I say, that's why I have a sissy ... to clean up after me. There are sooo many different kinds to hunt. My favorite... The Great Oak! Now, that one is hard to get. You have to sneak up on it before the wind scares it away.

I had to go to the vet the other day because my knee keeps coming out of socket. It hurts but I've stopped crying when it happens, because no one wants a sissy Pit Bull. When we got there, they wanted to weigh me. But when I got on the scale mommy called me a cow! And when I looked at the numbers I was shocked! I weigh 59 lb!!!!! (so THAT'S why daddy was having a hard time picking me up! B.O.L.)

It's getting cold here in PA and I don't want to get up in the mornings. This morning I stayed in bed a whole 30 minuets after mommy and daddy got up. But it got cold so I came down and cuddled with mommy. Now I am asking sissy to play fetch with me, but she says no 'cause the doctor told her to take it easy' with me for a couple days.

I have to go. Sissy and mommy are telling me I have to get in the crate because they are going to the store to get stuff and chews for me.

So bark at ya later.

Love 2 all my pup-pals (present and future.)

P.S. Hey all check me out in the contest! And if you love me, vote for me.

Things Sure Can Change Fast Around Here

At first, I was so excited about getting a new playmate, and having Edgar around was a great time, but a lot changed for me, too. Until Edgar, I never slept in a crate overnight before ... not cool when your paws get stuck between the wires in your sleep ... that's nightmare material! Until Edgar, I had never been sick before ... then all of a sudden, I feel like my insides are coming out, and 'cuz this has never happened to me before... oh my.... what a mess! And my humans were NOT happy about it, which is how I got to sleep overnight in my crate for the first time. One weekend Dad and sissy were away and we only had mom to take care of us. We both got the runs again, and back to the crates we went. Never thought I would be let out of that crate at night again. Edgar also did a lot of other stuff that I would never even consider doing, just because a propper pup doesn't do those kind of things. Mom was super frustrated all the time, but seemed to be dealing with it. Then one day....

Sissy left the room, and a little girl that was visiting us followed her too quickly. Next thing we all know... Edgar is up and after this girl, and barking at her. Not once, but twice he did this. Good thing the girl didn't try touching sissy, or it could have been much worse. Mom said because of all the people we always have over, we couldn't risk some little kid getting hurt, and then Edgar having to take a "dirt nap" just because he's misunderstood. Guess I don't understand, because I always thought naps were a good thing.

Anyway... next thing I know, mom is taking Edgar on a road trip. I was kind of upset and jealous that I wasn't the one going, but Edgar didn't come back. Mom said Edgar was better off going back to the shelter than risking that he would hurt a little kid AND he would be hurt because he would have to be "put down" as a bad dog, when he really wasn't. She said he's a good, sweet Staffie that just needs a chance in a home without small kids.

So... looks like I'm back to being an only-pup. Mom thought I would be more upset, but I really wasn't. I get to run around the house whenever I want to, and no one steals my food or toys, and I can take naps as often as I like wherever I like without being jumped on. Too much of that would make anypup jumpy and grumpy! Best of all, I get my humans back to myself. Seems rather selfish, but since I'm not human, that's o.k.

Until next time my fellow pups... Keep your head in the car, and your nose out of dark places.

The Times, They Are A Chang-ing...

Okay ... So I wanted to have some puppy company, and now I have it, but it's permanent. Not sure I wanted that. Oh well... guess Edgar isn't so bad. He likes to run around and play alot ... and he's finally figured out he has to wait patiently until I walk away from my food bowl before he tries to eat any of it, if there's any left. Once in a while I leave him some. Guess he was starved when they found him, or they didn't feed him too much at the shelter he was staying in, 'cuz the boy wolfs it down in less than a minute. And mom and dad thought I ate fast....! As for the water... I let him drink out of the same bowl as I do. I figure there's plenty of that to go around -- all I have to do if the bowl is empty is lick my family's water cooler where the water comes out. They waste no time filling the bowl. HA!

My human sissy is away this week, and Edgar is pouting. He doesn't want to play or run around as much as usual. He just sleeps alot (when he's not eating). He also follows mom around CONSTANTLY! The boy needs to get a grip! But I guess he's worried that they shipped my human sissy off like they've shipped him off so often. Gotta be tough, coming from where he did. Yeah... I guess he can stay. At least I know mom and dad will take good care of him.

As for me... well, I'm AWESOME, as always! Mom keeps calling me her "pretty Lilly" and loving on me more than usual this week because of all the extra attention she's giving Edgar with sissy gone. Poor guy. Well..., except that with sissy gone, mom makes me sleep in my crate, so Edgar won't be in a room all alone in his crate at night. Never slept in a crate before Edgar came to live with us. Hmmm.... Something doesn't seem fair about that.

Guess it's give and take. I do have someone to keep me company in the next crate when the family has to leave. That's kind of nice.

Speaking of nice.... I'm growing! Mom says I've grown taller and I weigh 49 pounds. Not bad for an 8 month old little girl, huh? Guess I take after my real daddy -- my human mom says his head is the size of a bowling ball! What's a bowling ball and where can I get one to play with?

Oops... gotta go. I think it's time to go for a walk!

Here's barking at ya!

Our Family Is Growing...

BOW - WOW - WOW! Our family is growing! Saturday a lady from a rescue brought Brady to stay with us for a while. We're calling him Edgar ... he looks like an Edgar. Mommy says she loves that puppies don't complain when you give them names you wouldn't normally give your human kids. Lilly is a cute human or puppy name, but Edgar? Guess it doesn't matter... he answers to it and seems to like it.

It's been kind of hard, though, getting used to sharing my stuff with Edgar, especially my family. Up to now I've always gotten all the hugs & kisses, and now I have to share them. It hasn't been very good on my bowels either, and THAT hasn't made mommy very happy. Guess it hasn't been too easy on Edgar either... Another thing that has mommy upset is that Edgar bit at her a few times yesterday. Mommy was just trying to get us to calm down (she thinks we play too hard and doesn't like us biting each other -- I don't understand why), and Edgar bit at her wrist. Not good! Mommy & daddy taught me that you NEVER bite, not at another dog, and especially not at mommy or daddy. But mommy took it like a good sport, knowing it's going to take Edgar a little while to "get with the program," as she says. Good thing she only has some bruises. She said if she didn't have a long-sleeved sweatshirt on Edgar would have gotten her good and she might have had to go someplace and get fixed-up. That wouldn't be so bad.... Dr. Taylor is a nice vet and gives me LOTS of treats whenever I have to go see her.

Oh well... time to go get sissy and Edgar up. Mommy says they've been sleeping long enough and need to get moving for the day.

Hey.... have you seen the o-so-cute baby pictures of me? I was such a little pup. Can't believe I had green eyes then. I know mommy loved them a lot. But fortunately, she loves my new eye color, too. And daddy.... as far as he's concerned, he loves everything about me, just like mommy. Well, except for maybe the spats Edgar and I have been getting into. Mommy said that if we can learn to get along, we'll get to keep Edgar forever! Yup, yup, yup, forever!

Here's barking at you for a GRRRRRReat day!

SATURDAY!!!!!!

Hey doggies! I love Saturdays! Do y'all know why I love Saturdays? Because I get to go on long walks, and help people see that we pit-bulls are not as mean as they think we are. And I also go out with R.A.V.E.N. East Coast to hand out bread and preach to people (if you want to learn more about my parents' ministry go to www.RavenEastCoast.BlogSpot.com). And, yes people, I am a Christian puppy.

Hey, Hey, Hey, guess what everypuppy.... I might be getting a brother!!!! His name is Brady, but my sister wants to name him Shakespeare, he is so cute!

I love shopping on the internet for treats. I'm getting a shipment of bully stix soon. They are so good! It takes me 1-1/2 days to eat a 7" buly stik. And they make my head bigger (which, by the way, sissy loves). Now I'm playing tugg with daddy.

Well got to go B.B.A.Y.L. Tootles!!

Well, my human sister is going to type while I speak because it's kinda hard to type with paws. All of you know what I mean.

My humans love me very much. Today, Meg (my sister) gave me her bandana to chew on!!!! Now that's obedient!!!!! Right now, I am laying on my sissy's arm while she is typing this. I love my family --- sissy always takes me for long walks and runs up and down the road.

Well, my family has to go somewheres, so that means I have to go, so bow-wow my puppy peeps!!!

B.B.A.Y.L. ( Bark Back At Ya Later ) toottles!!!!!!
