I prefer car rides, all the sniffing none of the work!
With that cute face he doesn't have to do tricks to get some treats.
Percy is a ten year old buff cocker spaniel who was found as a stray wondering the streets of Phoenix. Percy went into a rescue and was my foster dog. When the rescue closed, he became part of the family. Percy is considered a special needs dog by some because he is deaf and has limited vision, but to me he is just special because he has such a great heart. He definitely has a sixth sense to know when you are thinking about him, looking at him or when its time to eat! :)
Percy is a sweet old gentleman he gets along with the cat and his canine brothers and sister. It probably helps that he can't hear all the yapping they do!
His goal is to find a warm bed and for that he will give you unconditional love and devotion.

Today was a very tough day, I had to say goodbye to Percy. Percy's health had been deteriorating and his mental state was very impaired. It had only been a few months since Percy had been to the vet. In that short time, Percy had developed a severe heart murmur and this was the cause of his downfall. I didn't know what had caused the change but I knew that he wasn't happy anymore. He wasn' t my sweet Percy anymore. It was with a very sad heart I made the decision to say goodbye. I held Percy as he went to sleep. It was peaceful and very quick.
I do not regret one day Percy was with my family. Tomorrow he would have been with me for 14 months. Percy was scheduled to be euthanized 14 months ago simply because his hearing and vision was impaired due to age. Percy was happy and sweet and was the perfect gentleman. He loved me, greeted me at the door, never had accidents in the house, and never chewed a thing. Senior dogs like Percy are often overlooked for puppies. I can't imagine not having known Percy. I would not have changed a thing.
I love you sweet Percy.
