My Hard Luck Summer

It’s almost my 2nd birthday and I am looking forward to that. I hope it changes my luck some, cuz I have had a really hard luck summer…It all started this spring when Dad found a Tick on my back. Well he removed that one only to find two more in the next couple of days. We got all of those taken care of and I was fine. Well just last month I got a sore foot and dad had to take me to see the Vet lady. Well I had a piece of cheat grass that had stuck between my toes and had made an abcess there. She operated on me and took it out and I had to take yucky pills for a week. Then just a couple of weeks later I got sick and had the runs. Well dad had to clean me up from that mess while mom was cleaning up the mess I made in the house. Well when dad was cleaning up my rear end, he found another big sore spot right below my tail. Back to the vet lady I went and another piece of cheat grass and abcess there… Owwie…well two vet bills totaling about $750.00 Dad decided to burn the lower field and get rid of all the cheat grass he could. Then another sore foot, and mom found two thorns (Goat Heads) in my foot. Dad took them out and I was better…Then Skye and I were going to go to the groomer to get a nice hair cut before school starts, Our appointment was last Saturday while dad was gone so mom was going to take us… Well Friday night I wanted to stay outside so mom lets me do this…about midnight she wakes up to me barking and a BIG SMELL…. I met a skunk…. Oh No… Well he hosed me down…The Groomer lady (Pood’s mom) took me in anyway and she gave me a really nice hair cut and a bath with some special stink killer stuff that the vets use…I look really nice, but you can still smell the skunk….

I sure hope my luck changes soon…
