For the past three years at our annual hike, TOTTSHR has honored our dear friends that have crossed over to Rainbow Bridge. This year we will be displaying personalized candles in their memory.
Each candle is approximately 6" X 3" and includes your pets name. Photo can be added for an additional $5 donation. Candles will be on display at the hike and then after the hike, the candle is yours to take with you. If you are remote hiking, a candle can be mailed to you after the hike.

This was certainly a first! Just when you thought you have heard everything... someone gives you a new one. Every night mom has been taking me for a walk to help build my strength in my legs up again. Plus she also takes one other dogs rotating between Nika, Pandora and Fugas. Last night was Fugas' night. ANYWAY... So on the loop a girl maybe about 9-10 years old starts saying "WOW! I LOVE huskies." So mom tells her she can come over and pet us. To which she says, "I am not sure that I am allowed, I just ate." Now I have heard that you shouldn't swim after eating.. but I had no idea the dangers of petting a dog after eating!
Anyway... I am doing great. Each day I get a pill in the am and another in the evening. Mom and dad say that it is the best they have EVER seen me! I am on a med called Tramadol. My liver cancer was totally removed and we are all hoping it stays that way. Now I just wish it was the start of winter rather than the summer coming!

I have been tagged by two lovely ladies: Jesse and Leika!!
This is the Learning FOUR Tags Game. The deal on this game is that I need to answer the 4 questions below and post them in my diary. Then, I have to tag four furiends.
So away we go...
Name 4 jobs that you have:
1. I have a very important job of putting puppies in their place. I actually take great pride in my work and have taught MANY young pups what IS and ISN'T out of line! I am now semi-retired do to my leg injuries.
2. One of my important roles is as the Flicky Tongue. If the humans offer up anything in a bowl, I am sure to lick with just vigor that parts end up on the walls, them, etc..
3. I am a human trainer. One of my best tricks is to stare at the humans and get them to BEG ME to jump up on the furniture.
4. I am also a great ambassador. I have been to MANY events over the years, worked with scared little humans who aren't sure of dogs by being gentle, and even been to a few nursing homes. One time even visited with a sweet young girl who had been diagnosed with brain cancer. She LOVED huskies and so I met with her and her family for a day.
Name 4 places you have lived at (or stayed at):
1. I stayed many times up at the Deep Woods Vacation Rental sites for Warren Winterfest in NW PA. Also stayed at a Days Inn up there and also some other VERY tiny place.
2. I stayed at my Aunt Cindy and Gerry's house once where Aunt Cindy groomed and trimmed me.
3. I stayed for about a week at a hotel in Carlisle PA in 2000 I think it was for the SHCA National Specialty and then in 2004 I went to Greenville, South Carolina for a week for the SHCA National Specialty
4. I stayed at a hotel in the Poconos one year with my sister Pandora for a Winter Festival the sled dog club had up there.
Name 4 places that you have been:
1. The Annual Tails on the Trails Husky Hike and Gathering to benefit Tails of the Tundra in September I have been to many times.. will I see you there this year?!!
2. I went to the Bucks County Youth Correctional Facility once to teach kids about proper dog ownership. I had to go through all these special doors and the humans got FRISKED!
3. I have been inside quite a few schools and churches over the years to help talk about rescue.
4. Oh yes, I once got to go to a FORMAL BLACK TIE EVENT DINNER! They put a black tie on me and I got to go around and help explain about huskies. Some women in formal evening gowns even took turns with me out on the dance floor. I even went around and did some begging for shrimp cocktails and yummy steaks at the tables. That was VERY cool!
Name 4 places you'd rather be:
1. Laying in a nice big pile of soft snow with some food.
2. Laying on the couch with the A/C on with some food.
3. Laying with some food.
4. Anywhere that involves laying down, food and cold.
Now for the 4 I am tagging:
1. Angel
2. Donner
3. Yeager
4. Aspen
