Well, It's finally time for me to write my official Thank You PMail. I have my cast off and my stitches are out. I am still trying my best to keep the Pity going here, but I don't think Mommy's buying it. Even the medicines are gone. But I can still get the Real Ice Cream Please face going. But I do need to do exercisers everyday.
So here goes:
First Than You to All of the Fluffs and their families that sent me encouraging emails. Tucker Max and Sugarbear for turning their legs green for me. For everyfluff who wanted to sign my cast, or sent out the POP for me. For my BFF JR. Angel for watching over me during my surgery and talking me through it and for keeping me company in the crate when I had to stay overnight. And for all of the good wishes that I received. If I fail to mention your name it is due to lack of memory on my Mommy's part. I am innocent.
Next to Chester & Sugar for my Gold Bone and Get Well Card, Then to The Family of Lexi, In Loving Memory, Lulu & Romeo for the Power of the Paw Rosette. To Princess for my Bandaid which kept my leggie covered. To Shasta & Daisy for my Gold Bone. For Mulligan for my cute Ladybug. To Ellie Mae for my Power of the Paw. Breath, breath, breath. Pause for refreshments please.
Resume: To Sonny for my Gold Trophy. To the Family of Charlie, Sam 2002-2008, LouLou de la Labradoodle for my Lips. To Maddie Mae for both my Twirling Pinwheel and my Sunflower. To Ichie & Roxie for my relaxing Candle. To Charlie for my Power of the Paw. To Sugarbear for my Lips and my Daddy's Power of the Paw. To Charlie, LouLou, Angel Sam for my bouncing ball. To Miss Dixie Monroe I.D. 396548 for my Lips and Special Licks to heal me and my Gold Trophy (if you have a chance please stop by her page and see how very patriotic she is. Pretty terrific pictures to honor our men and women in the Military.) I am very proud of her and ask for your POP for her as she has just had another surgery on her leggie too. Her cast is blue.
And finally to my Cousins Skippy & Scooter for my Special Heart and for being so gentle with me when I visited them after my surgery. And to my Cousins Galen (Puff, Puff) & Bad Dog Otis otherwise known as Pizon to some, for my World and my Diamond.
I appreciate every Fluff and their Family for every thought, concern, prayer, humor and all of the Gifties. I hope now that I will continue to get my leggie stronger and stronger and be able to Blitz my Heart Out just like before.
Thank you,
Wuffers,
Sherman, otherwise now known as Scar leg (at least for the time being.)

Well, the cast is off and the stitches are out. Finally. The only thing is, that I can't move around very well yet. The Doctor said that my first operation that he did in October was still healing, now I have the other one that isn't quite working correctly. Yoy! If the first one isn't healed up yet and that's been 6 months ago, HOWL long is this second one going to take? I have a feeling that maybe I will need to make use of my buggy wheels when I get to the Bash in July. But I have a few offers to ride with me, so I guess it won't be so bad. I'll bring the Vino and the Cheeze and Crackers. Ahhhh, now that's the life. OK, OK, so maybe it will be a bag of Beggin Strips and some water, but we can dream, can't we? Here's hoping that everyone stays healthy and that their families stay healthy just as well. All I really know is that "There's No Place Like Home", and that's going to be my new mantra from now on. No more Vets Housing.
A very special thank you to all of my extended families that prayed and thought of me during my operation and recovery. You are ALL the GREATEST.
Wuffers, Sherman

I had my cast taken off today (Friday May 8) and it's not a real pretty site. My leggie looked like a turkey leg on Thanksgiving with red gravy on it. Mostly because I was able to get to it before Mommy got my pants back on after we went outside for my Constitutional. I guess my red beard was a total give a way. And it wasn't spaghetti sauce. Mommy wasn't that impressed with me for making a mess of my leggie. She cleaned me up, checked the stiches put a light bandage around it, even though the Tech said to leave it air out. Mommy then put on my pants but ended taking off the bandage the next morning because it just wouldn't stay were she put it. The adhesive tape that she used hurt more than the Doctor's. I think I need paper tape. I can't put my foot down yet and no weight on it, but it is easier than trying to walk around with the cast on. I am only allowed to walk around for a couple of minutes at a time, for now.
The pictures of my leg are just a little too graphic right now. Maybe next week I'll post one when the open places dries up.
Wuffers,
Unpegged Sherman
