Favorite Walk: sherman's favorite walk is to the car. Then he is free to go anywhere that his Mommy and Daddy go. Other than that if he is subjected to actually walk somewhere his most famous quote is "I will pass no blade of grass before it's prime"
Best Tricks: sherman can look cute and smile. It only took him 3 days to go from sleeping in the kitchen to sleeping in the master bed. Now that's a good trick.
Arrival Story: sherman was not being loved by his former family (they kept him either in a crate or chained to the crate all day) so his aunt brought him to me and he has been a king since. All it took was one look at his cuteness and we were hooked. The crate went out the back door when he was carried in the front door. Yes even then he wanted carried.
Bio: Sherman gets stressed easily and he grabs his yellow dog. Doesn't like any type of sirens going off, like car alarms, smoke detectors, sometimes even the micro-wave and stove noises scare him. And don't even get me started about the sweeper. He just grabs his yellow dog and starts packing his suitcase.
Sadly, Sherman left us about a month ago. He was staying with his Aunt Patty (at her boot camp) while his mommy was recovering from a recent health issue. He is now up in heaven with his Pappy .
This is Sherman's Aunt Patty. I have the sad job of letting you all know that on June 11, 2012 Sherman crossed over the rainbow bridge. He was living with my family for a few months while my mom was dealing with some serious health issues. If you knew Sherman, you knew that he had the 'Power of the Paw' Our family feels that Sherman used all of his 'power' to help our mom get better. Ironically, the day he passed, our mom's condition started to improve. In his absence, Sherman sent her an angel named Sam-e to live with her here on earth.
My two doggie cousins (Skippy and Scooter) stayed with us for 8 days while their family went on Vacation. I normally am alright with them, especially Skippy, because he likes to play tug with me. HOWEVER,THIS TIME HE PUSHED ME A LITTLE TOO FAR. As I wasn't feeling all that great because of my cyst breaking and making me all Itchie, he grabbed a hold of my back and tried to take a milk-bone from me. I made such a growl and went after him and he didn't want to come by me the rest of the week. After I did it, I apoligized but he wouldn't have any of it. I guess he told his Mommy when she got home, just to see if he would get sme sympathy from her, but she said it had to be Skippy's fault, because he always does this same thing to his brother (Scooter). So, at least my Mommy's daughter felt that I didn't need to apoligize. Wow, I almost lost my Angelic standing.
Thank you everyone who has been looking for a new Yellow doggie for me. Here is a posting that I sent out over the pmail when asked if I really had "Yellow" for 11 years.
"I don't actually play with my yellow doggie. I groom him, take him outside with me when I go for my Constitutional several times a day and make sure I have him with me if I am stressed or overly tired or if someone takes out the dreaded vacumn cleaner. At night I then
carry him up to the big bed to go to sleep. In the moring I wake up and do it again, and again and actually have been doing this ever since I got him when I was a baby. He is a little over ripe, at least that's what Mommy says, but she can't really wash him off, because then he wouldn't smell just right to me. I have tons of "toys" to play with, but yellow doggie is my best friend and I would not ever hurt him or put him in harm's way. When I get doggie company, I kindly ask Mommy to put yellow up high so my company dogs won't hurt him either. But I always know where he is. He's my best friend, my up, my down, my bundle of joy.
