Arrival Story:
"Adopt08 contest" We had just been to the Kitsap pound almost adopted a chow chow mix there but had second thoughts about doing that,as sweet and nice as he was we didn't feel he was the right dog for us, so we left.We really wanted a newfie mix ,(not being able to put out the initial cost of a purebred newfie pup)my Grandson suggested we go to the pierce county pound which we quickly said no to.While eating lunch we decided that we really didn't have anything else to do so we went anyway.Didn't know that 1hour before we arrived they had brought in a purebred Newfie as a stray,when my Grandson got to the pen we almost missed seeing this now gorgeous newf,there laying on the floor head down between his paws was a very dirty and matted sad looking newf. We didn't go any further we turned around and put a $25.00 deposit on him.we had to wait 5 very long days before we got this beautiful baby,praying all the time that he would be ours very soon.Yippee after waiting the time we were able to bring him to his new furever home.Best thing we ever did was to decide to go to pierce county to look our home will be forever changed because of this big black goofy pup.
