Birthday:
March 8th 2006

Likes:
Meeting new people (especially kids) and dogs, and playing. Also, he has a lot of fun going to pet super stores like Petsmart and Petco.

Pet-Peeves:
When we are in public and people ignore him (rarely happens). Also, he hates extreme heat (when we got Riley, we lived in Phoenix, AZ). Grooming is not much fun for him either.

Favorite Toy:
His green squeaky ball or a dish towel mistakenly left close to the edge of the counter. He also loves slippers and shoe insoles. He can remove a shoe insole in less than a second, and before you know it, he is on the run!

Favorite Food:
He wants whatever we are eating. He is on a dog food only diet, but he has been sneaky enough to try a few things. He actually likes lettuce and carrots quite a bit.

Favorite Walk:
When we walk into our small town. He loves to meet people just walking by.

Best Tricks:
He can sit and shake or give a high-five. He can also sit and stay, but his best trick is making us laugh!

Arrival Story:
When my wife and I were moving from Delaware to Phoenix, AZ, we knew that we wanted a puppy as soon as we were settled. After discovering goldendoodles, we were convinced that one would make the perfect pet. We discovered a family outside of Phoenix that brought puppies to the area from a breeder in Kansas. After a few conversations, we arranged for them to hold a puppy for us. After our drive across the country, we unpacked as quickly as possible so we could get our home ready for our new puppy. Five months later, we were moving back across the country to Western PA. We chose to drive again, and at 6 months old, we were amazed by how well behaved Riley was on the entire drive. He did great staying overnight in hotel rooms, and each time, raced through the door and onto the bed. Riley has filled a void in our lives after the early passing of our best friend Copper (Sheltie). We will never forget Copper, and Riley is his complete opposite. Where Copper was timid and shy, Riley is the life of the party and always clowning around for attention. We are very fortunate to have him entertaining and loving us.

Bio:
Riley is like living with a cartoon character. He is our little clown that is always doing something goofy. One of his favorite trips to take is to the local pet store, where he can really draw a crowd. Other shoppers will take pictures of him with their camera phones, ask questions, and try to play with him. There is never a dull moment with Riley around.
