See Spot Walk - Saturday, October 3rd - Boise, IdahoSeptember 29th 2009 12:45 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
We are walking in See Spot Walk this Saturday, October 3rd. We would love to have our Dogster friends join us for the walk. If you can't make the walk we do have a sponsorship page. All donations (even tiny ones make a difference). Here are the details:
Future Mosquito Slayer!September 9th 2009 3:14 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Summer…summer…summer…we have been on the go all summer. The Pei's of Adventure never rest for long. We are out on the trails hiking, camping, heck we even go along when the humans are fishing. The only down side of summer is of course the heat. We Pei's don’t like anything over about 85 degrees – it's just too dog-gone hot! Something interesting did happen this summer. Jay and I both learned about mosquito's. They are these pesky little flying bloodsuckers that are relentless in the summer and are the source of all evil as far as Jay and I are concerned. During one of our camping trips up to Cascade these pint sized pests literally attempted to eat us alive. Both Jay and I returned home with our muzzles covered with tiny red bumps. Those ugly insects actually had the nerve to try to drain us dry by biting us on our muzzles and sucking out our blood. Is nothing sacred! What is a Pei to do? It was like a biblical plague or something. Fortunately we survived the trip but watch out because they are everywhere and they don't take prisoners. Watch out mosquito's because I will not take this laying down…well unless it's time for a nap! Raisin – The Big Pei of Adventure!
Begging for Your Vote!!!June 23rd 2009 5:07 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Jay and I just hate to beg (unless food is involved) but we really need all of our Dogster and Dog Channel friends to vote for us in the Pet Friendly Magazine Cover search. We had our pictures taken last month and mommy completely forgot about the actual contest so we missed a whole week of voting. Just turning our backs for a minute cause us to lose a lot of time and valuable votes. When mom checked the site this week she discovered that we have even less votes than quite a few other canines but even to add insult to injury there are cats with more votes too. What is a Peiling to do? Beg of course. If you have a minute to stop by and vote we are the only Pei’s on the page and we are half way down. You can click on Jay and I both only once from each computer you use (like once from work and once from home). We really appreciate your votes! Pei-Hugs! Raisin & Jay – The Pei’s of Adventure & Mommy
What the Heck???March 22nd 2009 4:37 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Watch out is about all I have to say. My little brother must have the fastest leg in town! One minute we will be side by side smelling a very intriguing aroma and the next thing get the umbrella’s out because he has whipped his leg into the air and it’s a yellow rain fall that immediately follows. Thank heavens mom watches closely because she has had to tug me and my nose out of the way before I am a victim of his wild and inappropriate behavior. Just imagine if she wasn’t watching. How could I continue on our walk with Jay’s pee all over my face? No sir that is not going to happen! It’s bad enough that he has to stop and pee on everything around the neighborhood but really is nothing sacred? I mean come on my face is right there. And he acts if he didn’t notice me standing there. Beaming up at mommy with those innocent brown eyes. I tell you it’s always the younger siblings that get away with everything! Raisin who needs a rain jacket!
Eagle Island...February 14th 2009 3:46 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Mom takes us out to Eagle Island about three days a week. In the winder Eagle Island is like a ghost town. There are more feathered friends fluttering around than anything else. Jay and I would love to run after the geese, ducks, cranes and other foul but we are just not fast enough. We usually walk on Monday and Wednesday nights at about 4:45 p.m. and on Saturday mornings. Aside from the occasional Frisbee golf dudes, dog walkers and the lone fisherman we have the whole path to our selves around the lake. This morning there was not a living soul at 8:00 a.m. Last Saturday mom brought along the camera and took some pictures of us running around. She also shot some strange things with the camera. Not sure what she wanted them for but hay who’s to question a woman who gives us cheese.
Only For Jay Will I Wear the Hat!October 2nd 2008 8:29 am[ Leave A Comment ]
You know the look says it all! What on Earth am I doing in this silly party hat and leis??? Sure I know I look good in just about anything but come one this is cruel and unusual punishment for the Pei of Adventure. Okay, okay I was a good sport about it. I mean heck it was my little brother’s birthday on September 29th and the least I could do since he shared his birthday treats and toys was to get all dressed up for his big day. Let’s just hope that Jay is ready to put back on his party hat and leis because in 24 days I will be the birthday girl! Let’s P-A-R-T-Y!!!

Pin Up Pei!!!August 12th 2008 6:27 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
I just found out on Sunday that I am a real live Calendar Girl! Yep, when my brother, Jay, and I returned from Scotch Pines Dog Camp mom found a couple of packages on the front porch. She was confused for a moment because she had not ordered anything. When she opened the packages mom found two wall calendars from Dog Fancy and two Year-In-A-Box desk calendars. Low and behold I am a Calendar Pei! Mom found my picture in the wall calendar on August 3rd and the desk calendar has me on August 5th. I am trying to down play my new found fame but mommy and I were pretty excited. What was so funny was that mom completely forgot about ever sending in my picture. Mom said that she looked through the whole calendar and I am the only Pei in there. Mom said that next year if there is a change she will send in Jay’s picture too so he can be a calendar Pei too.
Nurse Raisin...June 7th 2008 2:19 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Nurse Raisin here taking care of my little itchy, scratchy brother and now mommy. Yep, between Jay’s allergies and mommy’s bronchitis I am in the house of illness. But never fear I am up to the challenge of taking care of everyone. I make sure to be where ever mommy is at just to keep a watchful eye. However, we need to do something about her coughing as it is waking me up over and over again. And I have been being extra nice to Jay by not taking his rawhides and such when he is scratching. Poor little bro is stuck wearing shirts now. Thank heavens mommy has not stuck him in anything pink yet! Let’s hope they are both on the road to recovery because I need to be the center of everyone’s universe again!
Back from the Mountains of Cascade...May 28th 2008 1:24 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Here we are back at home again. Boy it seemed like forever since we went camping. Mom says that we have not been camping since last year. Amazingly enough I remembered the trails and knew exactly how to get down to the beach. The beach is one of my favorite places to play and sniff around. Plus an added bonus you can take a drink and cool off. My little brother Jay was a bit confused by the tide splashing the shore and was trying to bite at the waves that the boats would make. He is just too goofy for words. Naturally being a Peiling of the world I knew exactly what was going on. Jay also does this totally silly thing where he attempts to chase a ball and then won’t stick his nose into the water to pick it back up. Now I can appreciate keeping ones nose dry but he stands there and paws and paws at the ball as if it is going to pop out of the water or something. What a knucklehead!
