Ummm, well, she can sit and "get the toy." Update: Josie now sings with me! She also understands, "Get in your bed." Hey, she's a beagle--These are big accomplishments!

Arrival Story:
I had been looking for a smallish 2nd dog for many months. My first dog had destructive separation anxiety and I couldn't stand crating her any longer, so a companion was my only hope. I wasn't having much luck with the local shelters as the smaller dogs were snatched up faster than I could get to see them. On the internet, I came across a beagle rescue that was about 60 miles away. I e-mailed back and forth with them, then packed up my dog and my sons and headed north to find a beagle. Josie was the first one that sat in my lap. We spent several hours there playing with all of them, but Josie seemed to be perfect. We found out that she had been thrown from a pickup truck and a good samaritan took her to a local clinic where they treated her for a fractured hip, concussion, and multiple contusions. Then she went to BeaglesRUs, where we found her.

Bio:
We took her home and she proceeded to spend the next several months trying to prove to me that she was a baaaaaaaddddd choice. She even got me to e-mail the rescue lady one night after she destroyed a big portion of my loveseat. That was followed by the couch, pillows, shoes, an electrical cord, many, many pens, CDs, video tapes, DVDs, etc. She also completely refused to be housebroken. Lucky for her, she's the most loving dog in the world. It makes the bad stuff (which has settled down quite a bit) much easier to take. I've had Josie for more than 5 years now. I'm more attached to her than I ever thought possible.
