Arrival Story:
Barney was a little bitty puppy at DFW Humane Society. He was very timid and scared. I reached into his kennel to pick him up and he cringed away from me. He was trembling when I picked him up, but he snuggled his little face into my neck for comfort. I said "uh oh"....because I knew I had just fallen in love.

Bio:
Barney adores our two kids. Every day, regular as clockwork, when it's about time for the school bus to arrive bringing my oldest son home, Barney will go lie in front of the window and watch patiently for the bus. When he sees it, he jumps up, and starts spinning round and round in excitement, then runs to the door to greet him. Then, when it's time for our youngest's bus, he goes back to the window to repeat the process. Now, I have no idea how he knows what time it is, but the odd thing is, even if it's an early release day for the school district, and the kids end up getting out at noon, he will still go and camp out in front of the window right around 5 minutes before the bus arrives. How does he do that? Sometimes my oldest son will stay late for tutoring, and come home on a later bus. Barney still seems to know what time to expect him. It's uncanny.

Forums Motto:
Is the bus here?
