You aren't gonna believe this, pals,
This might just be my best birthday ever!
Cuz my Dad took a day of vacation today. I'm pretty sure he took the day off to spend with me, his best pal. That's right, but that's not all.
For breakfast we got Rice, Eggs and Chicken with a little dog food mixed in OM NOM NOM!
Earlier today we were tooling around in our car barking at Christmas lawn decorations. You hafta be vigilant against those "deer". Strange critters are popping up on lawns all over the place this time of year.
It looks like I have a big day ahead of me still, Thank you SO VERY MUCH for thinking of me on my big barkday. You pals sure know how to make an old guy feel special ~ My birthday wish is that we all keep breaking the record for oldest (healthiest and happiest) dog!

are you kidding me???
I'm going to be 14 years old tomorrow.
You wouldn't guess it if you saw me running around like a maniac every day on our walks.
Just last night, I pulled some sweet bob and weave moves on the Peeps
who were trying to make me behave, listen or heel (BAH!)
I did get in trouble, but I hope they took note of the highly advanced footwork it took to get around them.
Then just this morning, Mom made me jump into the truck on my own.
Look, I'm old, I deserve to be pampered, so normally I just stand there and wait for the Peep walking with us to lift me into the truck. Mom made me jump in today.
I figured, she'd be just cold hearted enough to leave me there, so I sucked it up and got in the truck on my own. Of course, when we did get home, it was tough for me to get up the stairs, you know, since I wasted all my leg energy jumping into the car and all.
I just heard about this dog in Japan who lived 26 years, that's the record I'm working on beating.
It's funny how the Peeps tried to give me a rest (as in: not take me for a walk one day) HA!! I went stir crazy! Ran around the house and wouldn't sit still, generally driving them nuts. Taught them not to leave me at home.
Anyfur, I'm planning on a big time pawty for my 14th tomorrow. And to be lifted into the truck. It is my birthday after all!

These days of mine

It's summertime and that means lake therapy
Fur some reason, we have only been to the lake one time so far this year
I told ma, look, ma, I need my swim therapy
she said she didn't wanna drive that far and she likes taking us walking at the new place
since the new place actually has a lake that we walk around
I have taken it into my own paws to log some time in the water
We were walking along the path and in the distance, I spotted the water!
Luckily, I was off leash at that moment and I took my chance to bolt down to the water!
WAHOOO!!! I lept off the edge of the path (it was a further drop than I first thought) and splashed in.
DOG, it was pawsome!
We all played around fur awhile and then Mom and my compadres started walking back down the path.
Bad news; that jump off that was so exhilarating at first made it a bit of a challenge fur me to get out of the water.
Mom didn't leave me stranded, tho, she has a dog's back and hefted me outta the lake.
Some might think that's hoomiliating, but it was totally worth it, pals.
I love me some swimming BOL!!
