I got in BIG trouble today

So, my brother Ace has been staying with us for 1 solid week and boy have we had fun together!
We normally spend the day inside a gated area with all our toys. Well, today, I guess we got a little stir crazy. Ace and I somehow managed to bring down the baby gate!!! We went NUTS inside the house. First we terrorized Mommy's parakeet and pooped in his room. Next we moved into Daddy's office and pooped in there. Then we went to the dining room and pee'd there. Oh yeah! We also pooped in the living room and the guest room. Mom and Dad should be thankful we didn't chew on any cords or swallow anything bad for us, but they sure didn't see it that way when they came in after work. No siree bob - they were none to pleased with us. We were immediately banned to the back porch while they cleaned up our little surprises. When we were allowed back in, they had put the gate back up and SUPER reinforced it (we checked!). Guess we won't be getting out of the gates again. *Sigh* Well, it was fun while it lasted! 5 hours of pure bliss!

Ceiba's mom here - I'm not sure in what order they pooped in all the rooms, but if that's what Ceiba says happened, then it's probably how it went down. And no, we were NOT amused with Ceiba and Ace when saw the mess. NOT AT ALL!

My brother is gonna stay with us!

Yippee!!
Mommy just told me that my only brother (Ace) is going to be staying with us for a few days!! His new parents (I think Mommy calls them her in-laws or something like that) have to go out of town so they are bringing him to our house. I am excited to see him! When we get together it's like we were never apart. I'm so glad that I get to see my brother so often. We play and play and run around in the grass. The best part is me showing him who's boss!! I'll let you know how our visit goes in a few days - hope he doesn't keep me up at night...he's a bit of a cry baby!

Yay! I'm a daily diary pick today!

So glad to see some people actually read this stuff! Let me tell you about my day yesterday. I got to play alllll day with my brother, Ace. My daddy's mommy took him home, so we get to see each other pretty often. He's my only brother so I really enjoy the time we spend together. We run run run around and the best part is - I'M IN CHARGE!! When we were younger (like 4-5 wks old), he used to beat me up. Now that I've gotten a little bigger though, *I* run the show! :) We even got the play with the neighbor's Maltese, Chloe. She's a little bigger than me (ok, twice my size!) so I let her pretend she is in charge for awhile. But once she left, I was back in the driver's seat.
Well, this is about all I can type for now - I'm still sooo exhausted from all the playing yesterday that I think I need another nap now.

Happy 3 month Bday to me! (NOT!)

So I thought that because today was my 3 month bday, that today would an especially good day. Boy was I wrong! I got so excited when Mommy came home early from work. Wasn't until we got in the car that I got a sneaking suspicion that something wasn't right. Guess where she took me - that's right! The VETS! The vet techs were all nice to me, but that Dr was something else!! He gave me a shot (OUCH!) , sprayed stuff up my nose (made me sneeze a lot) and made me drink a syringe full of stuff (Ick!!!). Well at least I got a couple of treats out of it.
Well, after all that drama was over, I thought we were heading home and that I could eat dinner. But once again, Mommy had other plans. She took me to Petsmart. Normally, not so bad, but she decided I needed to have the hair around my eyes clipped so I could see. I just hate that!!! She also had the girl cut my nails (that part wasn't too bad) but geesh! What a bday!! Hopefully my 4 month bday will be better!

Showers - decided I don't like 'em!

Well, this morning my Mommy went to take a shower and I decided to join her. I liked it for the first minute or two (I LOVED licking up the water!), but then I realized I really don't enjoy this getting wet stuff! I cried a little and my Daddy rescued me. I guess playing in the water made me have to peepee because that's just what I did when my Daddy put me down to grab a towel. heehee I showed them who's boss AGAIN! Anyway, I think I will leave Mommy alone when she wants to take a shower from now on - can't say I understand why these humans enjoy showers and baths so much!

What's in a name?

Some of you reading this may wonder where my name came from or what it means. Well, Ceiba is an abbreviated form of the name of a town in Honduras. My mommy's family is all from Honduras and some of the other city names didn't sound too cute (i.e. Sula, Tegus, Copan, Roatan, etc etc). So my name came from the town of La Ceiba, Honduras. It's on the coast and has beautiful beaches.
Before my parents came up with 'Ceiba', they did try out some other names like ChaCha (mom's pick - short for 'muchacha' which means 'girl' in Spanish) or Samba (Dad is partial to Adidas sneakers, particularly that model name). My parents wouldn't budge on their choices, so they went with Ceiba instead. I know it's not a common name (which my parents like) nor is it easy to say at first glance, but hey - that's my name!

I bite...and my parents don't like it!

I just can't help myself sometimes. When my mommy wants to rub my back and pet me, I turn around and nibble. Sometimes, too hard and she yelps. I do the same to my dad. In fact, I bit his nipple and now he ALWAYS wears shirts around me. :) heehee
I will work on this biting thing, but it's just so hard!
