I wasn't technically Deano's foster home. I was his "dogsitter" from Wednesday, January 31st to Saturday, February 3rd, the day he was adopted. But since I was his last home before being adopted I figured, what the hell, I'll add him to my list of foster dogs. Plus, he was a very memorable dog because he drove me CRAZY. I was told he was housetrained, well-behaved, and fine with cats. Well, he was absolutely fixated on my cats the whole time he was here. And when I figured out that he was chasing them to kill, not to play, I had to keep them separated, which is difficult in my house. And if he was left alone for even a second, he would bark this repetitive yap that could drive a person insane. But I couldn't take him everywhere in the house with me because I have stairs, and because he'd had back surgery, he couldn't go up and down the stairs. Plus, he pooped twice in my house (on the tile, luckily), so as cute as he was, I was not sorry to see Deano go. I listed "Pepperoni" as a nickname because he reminded me of the dog with the same name from an episode of Animal Cops. I couldn't help it, every time I went to call his name I thought "Pepperoni."
