Donating blood for other dogs ... it's a good thing to do!June 7th 2010 6:48 am[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] Don't forget that dogs sometimes need transfusions just like humans. Call your local animal ER to see if your dog qualifies to help other dogs. My "mom" and "dad" take me regularly and also sometimes when there has been an emergency. It doesn't hurt, it's quick, and I get really cool treats afterwards for being so helpful and such a good boy!

We don't know how they get blood in the UK, but there's never been any promo for dogs giving blood. But we don't have animal ERs either, only local vet clinics.
