Play time!!!!!

Wohoooo!!!! I've never had so much fun. There's this white stuff that Mom is calling snow that fell from the sky yesterday and covered the ground and the deck. It was squishy and cold and I just love to roll around in it. It's so much fun that I can't describe it. When I went outside this morning it was still there. I hope that it stays for a while!!!

Fall???

So why do humans call this time of year fall? I hear my mom say it's fall now and winter isn't far behind. She doesn't seem to be falling down and I just don't understand what she means. Yeah it's different here in WV than it was in TX but I just don't understand?? Course if fall means that I get to go for more walks like I did this weekend then I'm all for it!!!!!

Mom's Soooooo Proud of Me!!

I can't believe how happy Mom was on Sunday. I wanted to go outside and Mom forgot to look to see if there were any "distractions" near the invisible fence before she let me out. Well there were 4 - count em 4 - deer in MY YARD and I didn't leave to chase after them when they high tailed it outta my space. I was so proud that I chased them away and then came back to Mom. Then this morning when she let Darius and me out I ran all around sniffing. Mom got so worried but I was good and came back to the house after I was done with my business. I just hope I don't forget and do something bad later.

Company!!!

Yesterday afteroon some friends of Mom's came for a visit. I had met two of them before but the third one was new to me. The great thing is that they all LOVED me. I was the bestest I could have been. I didn't jump on anyone and tried my hardest not to be a pest. We sat on the deck and talked and I didn't even run around like a "crazy dog". I like having people come visit. I wonder when the next time will be?

I'm Learning

Oooh, Mom was soooo proud of me yesterday. I saw a deer and I didn't even run to go chase it. Course the deer was down the road a piece, but still. I'm trying to get better and be a good girl for Mom. She's even starting to trust me outside in my yard again.

Fall???

Mom keeps talking bout Fall and she doesn't look like she's falling down to me. I don't know what she's talking bout but she is sure excited bout it. I hope that this Fall is a good thing. If not I don't know what I'll be able to do about it.

Am I Learning???

So Mom thinks I'm learning my new fence and yard. I don't want to commit just yet, but she may be right. Of course then again maybe not. Yesterday Mom was so proud of me cuz I just kinda ignored the deer that I caught a glimpse of. I'm trying to be a good girl but it is so hard some times. In San Antonio I could run at the deer all I wanted cuz we had a fence that kept THEM out of MY yard. The nerve of the deer here in West Virginy - they walk through MY yard whenever they want to. Doesn't Mom know that I'm protecting all of us from them bad deer???

I Was Bad

I kinda messed up this morning. Mom was thinking that Darius and I were starting to respect our boundaries of the invisible fence but I "broke out". I couldn't help myself, there was this cute little baby deer that was calling my name. I was overcome with the desire to play and run and chase and all that good stuff that makes me a bad girl some times. By the time I knew it I was a long way from home. Mom was soo worried about me but I was on my way back, honest. When I saw Mom I was soooooo happy that I jumped into the car without waiting (more bad on my part). I was so surprised that Mom didn't yell at me or anything. She just took me home and gave me a good brushing to get all the burs and grass out of my hair. I think she said something about revoking my yard freedom but I know she'll relent sooner or later (probably later than sooner though).

Three Years and Counting

Wheeee, I may be five years old but I've been with my pack now for three years!!!! It sure doesn't seem like it, but it really is true what they say - Time flies when you're having fun!!! So in the past three years I've found a forever home, met my new ohana, found Dogster friends, lost Yoda when she went to the Rainbow Bridge, helped Darius with two surgeries and moved to WV with mom and Darius. Not bad if you ask me. I can't wait to see what the next three years bring. I'm hoping more good times hiking with Mom and Darius, a new brother or sister and lots of time to run and play in my new yard!!!!!

A Little Bit of Freedom

ARHOOOOO. I got off my leash in my own yard last night. Mom, Darius & I met with the guy that installed our invisible fence and he thought Darius and I could be off leash for some time each day when we're outside. Darius more than me, but then again he's a momma's boy!!! I got to run around in my own new yard. It was soooooo much fun. I'm hoping that means I'll be able to play every day. Maybe I'll even get my freedom in the mornings some time soon.
