Chamomile crossed to the Rainbow Bridge 9/16/10. Cami was 15 years, 7 months- and she spent all but 3 of those years with us.
It was a difficult year for all of us. After being diagnosed with kidney failure she made a remarkable comeback [home cooked and RC renal diet, renal meds, and sub Q fluids daily] and we actually got her once sky high kidney lab tests results back down to the normal range only to lose her to heart failure.
Because she waa too weak to get on the bed she spent her time in a special "spoiled" bed near us, and the last photos of her are in that bed, and in the kitchen bed, with little sister Olive saying goodbye. We hope she is romping with Pekoe, the older sister we adopted her with [who passed in 2004.] We are thankful for all the good years and the wonderful memories we have of our dear Cami.

When did I get to be a Senior Citizen?

Another year, and a big 14th birthday celebration. Wow, the years do fly. I remember when I was just a little girl and I ran and played all the time. Now I check out the toys my little sisters are playing with, but I really am not interested in them- though I could still claim them as mine if I wanted to!
I must admit the new kid, Gemma, didn't need as much training as Olive. She is calmer and doesn't pounce on me. In fact I kind of like hanging out with the two of them, and I even use their kennel for naps sometimes. We all snuggle on the bed too, and if they are awake when I need to rest I just take one of their soft toys for a pillow. They are very small, but with their hair growing in, I must say they are very pretty now.

Yet Again!

I haven't written in a long time because I have been busy training Olive, who did end up looking pretty good after all. She kept trying to "herd" me, but she is finally calming down a little. Since Olive enjoys traveling (I don't see what is so great about it) she goes shopping and to the office with Mom- so I get some peace and quiet. Or I did... but now they have brought another little furball into the family! Oh well, this one is quieter and calmer, so she is not so bad. And when she wants to play rambunctiously- she jumps on Olive!

It's Been A Long 3 Weeks

I must admit I feel sorry for the little kid- she has this big red thing on her leg and it looks awkward. Somehow it doesn't slow her down. She still springs in the air and tries to jump on me. Sometimes, when I am sleeping, she quietly sneaks up and sniffs me. If I pretend to be asleep she even licks my face a little. If she has been good I keep still, and then she snuggles up and goes to sleep next to me- that's not too bad.

Here We Go Again

I do not know why my Mom thinks I need a baby sister. This time she brought home a little 13 1/2 week old fluffball they tell me is a Yorkie too. Hmmm- where is her hair? The little twerp thinks she can spring in the air and pounce on me and that I'll want to play. Give me a break- I just had my 13th birthday.
And why does she think my food is better than hers? Oh well, I guess I'll have to teach her a few tricks since she clearly is staying.

Roxy Has Left Our Home

My mommy found a forever home for the little foster girl. I must admit it is quiet around here. I spent a lot of time teaching her all the good stuff- that girl left here knowing how to bark! Mom says she she has a new family to love her so I guess it is for the best. I am going to keep an eye on that empty sleep crate...

Who asked for this?

My Mom agreed to foster this creature in need of a new home.
What's with the bent ears? Where is her hair? She is pretty quiet for a Yorkie- doesn't bark to let people know when something is going on- like a leaf falling or someone walking or driving by the house. Soon after she came my Mom couldn't find her in the kitchen where she left her. Not in the kennel, not on any of the beds, not loose in the house. She was finally found (with her favorite toy- a lady bug) inside a back pack! Mom gave her a backpack of her own and she snuggled right in like a joey in a pouch, hmm- could she be a Yorkie roo X? Anyway, no body asked me if I wanted company. Cami
