   Leave a bone for Jake

Jakey, Crazy Dog

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

April 1st 2004

Cuddles from Mum, Dad and Alec. Swimming at the beach, playing with his ball, Hanging out at Coffee Club with best mate Ozzy the Pug. Sleeping, putting his big nose into everything, meeting other dogs, watching dog shows on TV, chasing our cat Cindy

Having sunscreen applied to my nose, having a bath (even though we can't get him out of surf but that's Bull Terriers for you) Hates any "dog food", getting in trouble for eating cats food

Favorite Toy:
Spent loads on many toys, he loves them but destroys them. Favourite is the squeaky CUZ ball which seems to last ages but is very noisy. Hol-ee mol-ee ball, tyre & Kong

Favorite Food:
BBQ chicken, ham, smackos, apples, grapes and anything we are eating like spaghetti

Favorite Walk:
Mooloolaba boardwalk with a swim at the end

Best Tricks:
High 5, shake hands, drop & he will leave food placed on his paw until he gets the OK from Mum or Dad

Arrival Story:
Firstly, we had to convince Dad to get a Bull Terrier as he thought they might eat small children! When we finally got Dad to the breeder, he instantly fell in love with Jake. Only problem though Jake was on hold and destined for Hawaii. We were so disappointed. When we said our goodbyes to Jake , he left his brothers and sisters playing and he just sat at the fence and watched us go. The breeder told us he would call us Monday if the Hawaii deal fell through. No call came Monday but late Tuesday night the breeder called to let us know that we could have him. We picked him up the next day. He is now a very special part of our family.

Like most Bullies he has a multitude of crazy traits. We love his mad bully runs. He is a little bit accident prone (3 serious visits to the vet with many tears from Mum) He survived being hit by a car, a torn patella ligament and a bone stuck in his throat that required doggy endoscopy. We are worried when he swims, he sometimes doesn't come back and Dad has to swim after him.
