So x-rays showed inflammation and arthritis in the hock area. I am on an anti-inflammitory and I am supposed to rest. The vet says that area supports a lot of the body weight and is always moving so it wouldn't take too much to cause an issue when it is already an arthritic joint. I must of sprang when I should have sprung.

When the vet compared the x-rays to my right side she noticed that it also shows signs of arthritis. The vet says the medication will help and I should feel better soon.

Long term though, mom is leaning towards adequan and once this injury is taken care of she hopes to start me on it come spring. She said it worked wonders for Sandi, who also had severe arthritis.

That is good news Chester. I hope after you are healed this time that the other medicine helps you.

Just saw your diary entry Chester & so glad you are going to be alright! Just take it easy & heal up. That's what I am doing now too. I guess I sprang instead of sprung too! Came up limping on my back leg a few weeks ago, but getting better now. I don't like being on house arrest though!
