Arrival Story:
We moved to a country home with 3 acres and wanted a big german shepherd to guard our property. She had lots of room to roam.We bought her from a breeder in West Virginia. Her hips were guarenteed, but her parents were not OFA certified. She ended up having hip dysplasia.

Bio:
Jasmine was only 8 years old when she passed. She was very striking and beautiful. She was very bossy. She was a big dog, but gentle. She loved my husband and was his girl. She was an excellent guard dog and patrolled our yard well.Jasmine snuck up on a ground hog Thanksgiving day. It bit her and got away. It must of been blind, not to see her coming.Another time she killed a possum in my yard. We got her a little sister 2 years later in 1998 when her hips were found to be bad. She treated Mandy like she was her pup. They were from the same parents. Jasmine got sick in August of 2004 and died 10 days later. We do not know the cause of her death. I feel she may of had had pancreatitis or a hemiangiosarcoma. She was given medicine that had been taken off the market 2 years prior because it caused dogs to die suddenly of heart attacks and strokes .The vet continued giving her the medicine although it was recalled. We found this out afterward. We now go to another vet. We remember her fondly and keep her in our heart and thoughts.

They say memories are golden
Well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
No one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
And heartache made a lane.
I'd walk a path to heaven
And bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
