Thankful List

My pal Saphira made her Thankful list for Thanksgiving. That got me thinking. Things are going pretty well for me this year. I think I will make a thankful list too. I have a lot to be thankful for this year.

-I am thankful that mom and dad always make sure that I have tons of cookies, kibble, bully sticks, frosty paws and anything else that I ever wanted.

-I am thankful for mom and dad's patience. Trust me, I have tried to break them. I have pushed their patience to the limit, but amazingly, I haven't pushed PAST the limit yet, BOL! Guess I have to keep on trying. :)

-I am thankful for bully sticks.

-I am thankful for my crate. It is my safe place and I love it. Mom promised that I will never be without it and that she will never put it away.

-I am thankful for cookies.

-I am thankful that I am learning to trust dad, nana, papa, my groomer, my vet, other dogs and even some strangers. I no longer lash out at them and for that, I am very thankful.

-I am thankful for mom learning how to make me home made frosty paws.

-I am thankful that I am lucky dog and get to sleep in bed with mom and dad.

-I am thankful that I finally learned to like cuddles and ear scritches. Also, I am thankful that mom has a never ending supply of kisses.

-I am thankful for moo tubes.

-I am thankful that we moved to a new house this year and now we have much more space. I am also thankful that I learned to poop in this yard, BOL! Sooo much easier than making mom take me for a walk each time I have to go!

-I am thankful for Kongs.

-I am thankful that I get to go camping every single weekend in the summer and that mom and dad bring me along on their "vacations" which have all become road trips just so I can go. :)

-I am thankful that dad likes to share all of his meals with me.

-I am thankful that I am cute.

-I am thankful for Dogster and my pals, Rewarding Behaviors forum and for all my friends whos moms and dads keep up with mom on Facebook.

-Did I mention that I am thankful for food. All kinds of food. Especially turkey. Oooohhh!!!! I am SOOOO thankful for turkey!

I probably have more to be thankful for and if I think of more, I will make another list.

You. Are. My. Beeyotch!

I believe that I have told everyone about my neighbor labby. If you don't remember, here is a brief recap. He lives downstairs and he is the landlord's dog. Mom says that because he is the landlord's dog, I have to be nice to him. So, I try my very best. Neighbor labby is a lab mix, approximately one year old. I say mix because I am pretty sure he is mixed with horse. He is ginormous. I can walk under him and he is easily 100+ lbs. But he is all labby and all PUPPY!!! UGH!

Today, neighbor labby and I met in the back yard. He interrupted my pooping. His dad wouldn't let him come over until I was done. As soon as I was done, he came running over. I didn't growl at him, which is a good start. We did the old sniff-sniff and after a couple minutes, I had enough, so I growled at him.

Apparently to labbies.....growling means "Let's play!" because he bowed to me.

I growled some more. He bowed some more. It went a little bit like this:

Neighbor labby: Wanna play?

Me: Grrrrr!

Neighbor labby: OK. Wanna play?

Me: Grrr!!!!

After a few rounds of this, he finally just laid down in the grass and gave up. The peeps stood talking and I figured that it was time to make my move. As neighbor labby laid in the grass, I approached him from behind. I tried to straddle him, but couldn't put my legs on the ground because he was STILL TALLER THAN ME and he was laying down!!!! Just as I was swinging my hips up to give him a good hard Chow-humping, mom looked down and yelled "CHIPPY!!!! NO!" and neighbor labby jumped up sending me flying, BOL!

The peeps laughed pretty hard at the sight of 38 lb me humping 100+ lb neighbor labby, BOL!

Just so we are clear, in the few minutes I had, I did make neighbor labby my beeyotch. That much was obvious.

Bully breath

Well pups, after a long nap cuddled up in bed with both mom and dad, I am feeling MUCH better! I curled right up in between them with my Red Sox blankie. The humidifier was on and the fan was pointing right at me. Sweet!!! I slept like a baby!

I woke up from my nap and dad took me out to pee. I came back upstairs and ate a big bowl of dinner. YUMMY!!!

We all settled down in the living room and dad said "Hey buddy, look what I bought you today!" And he handed me a big 12" bully stick! OMD!!! I went right to work on that bad boy and missed most of "The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard" which is a shame, because I love that Will Ferrell guy.

I munched and munched and munched. Then, when I was done, I gave my paws a bath and then I rolled onto my side for another nap, BOL! Mom came down to give me kisses and she told me that I have bully stick breath! BOL!!!

Well, that started dad off and the jokes started flying, BOL! Considering the source of the bully stick, the jokes are not appropriate for Dogster. I must say, that I did not appreciate them.

However, I will do ANYTHING for a bully stick, so joke away dad. Joke away. You have no idea what you are missing.
