Favorite Food: Anything in his bowl or that hits the floor.
Favorite Walk: Around the new apartment complex
Arrival Story: Nigel was rescued in Shelby County, TN. Animal control had been tracking him for a couple of months as he survived on only those things he could scavenge. When they were finally able to capture him, it was learned that he had heartworms. The Weimeraner Club of Tennessee Valley (Huntsville, AL) was called and they immediately drove to Memphis to pick him up. He was neutered and treated for heartworms then placed for adoption. I found him on petfinders.com and was approved for his adoption shortly after.
Bio: Nigel has been a dog on the move. When he was adopted we lived in a small, one bedroom apartment and he did well. Then we moved to a small goat farm in southern Kentucky where he enjoyed the freedom to roam as well as the access to neighbor dog dishes... We are back in a larger apartment just outside of Nashville, TN and Nigel is readjusting very well.
Sad News: On August 13, 2009 Nigel crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge after a brief battle with spleenic cancer.
