Arrival Story:
We lost a deaf JRT @ 10 months. Home, with a broken leg, I surfed the net quite frequently. A woman who runs a local JRT rescue knew of me from a friend and she emailed me to tell me of a deaf Jack in Linden, NJ. We were scheduled to meet Kissy that Saturday when I received an email stating that the person who turned her in, wanted her back. When she went to collect her, she was told about us. She graciously left the dog for us. We bought a deaf JRT into our home while I was on crutches and couldn't walk!
Bio:
Originally, her name was Penny, based on her markings.
Kismet means fate or destiny, so we thought it only fitting that she have that name instead.
Our handsignal for her name is the ASL sign for "I love you"
