Birthday: September 2nd 1999 Likes: Spend time with us; go for walks/hikes; clean kittens Pet-Peeves: Afraid of Thunderstorms! Favorite Toy: she loves stuffed toys that she can clean and be motherly with Favorite Food: Plain Yoghurt with frozen berries Favorite Walk: On our back 54 acres. She does not like strange places, she feels more save at home. Control issues! Best Tricks: cleaning kittens Arrival Story: My huband and I had to go to the Humane society to register Lucy, my spaniel that I had just brought over from Europe. I was interested in seeing if there was a medium size dog at the HS that would be a suitable match for Lucy and so I went back to the kennel to take a look. I could only see big dogs like GS, Huskies and Pit Bulls. I was not interested in a large dog at all. Then my husband stopped in front of a GS/Dobi mix pup of 6 months. Her name was Cloe (German for Toilet!) We asked if we could take her out in the yard there to see how the 2 dogs would get along and so we did. They seemed friendly with each other and my husband had fallen madly in love with Cleo. We had to sort things out with my huband's family (we were living together at that time) and so next morning we went to pick her up! She was terrified of the car and as we soon would find out she was also terrified of EVERYTHING else. Bio: Cleo is a wonderful dog and she has tought us sooo much over the years. Because of her we needed to learn a lot about dog behavior and about training. A few days after we adopted her we hired a private trainer to help us become better dogowners and pack leaders. Kirk, our trainer was amazingly patient in teaching us what we needed to know to understand Cleo and help her through her fears!
Thans Kirk! Forums Motto: Cleo the fearsom
Health: In 2006 Cleo was diagnosed with severe HipDysplasia in one of her hips. She had a rough couple of months and we decided to NOT have the surgery done. We did that with another dog of ours and he is now fine, but he is a small dog where Cleo is not and we could not carry her for a couple of weeks. She is doing really good on pain-meds though and Homeopathic Remedies. She is running like a rabbit and there is NO STOPPING HER!!!!
