Arrival Story:
On September 7, 2003, my husband and I went to a local shelter in Connecticut, the Animal Adoption Network in Monroe, and found Eli, whom the volunteers called Rittie. At first, I was not too keen on the idea of adopting him (he was a bit too hyper for me) but my husband fell in love with him. We finally agreed on him and took him home. Eli warmed up to us very quickly and we are so happy to have him as a part of our family!

Bio:
Unfortunately, Eli was abused by his former owners. He came from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. We think the person who abused him was a man with a motorcycle because if Eli sees a motorcycle, he will freak out, God forbid, hears one. He also can be a bit aggressive with men he doesn't know, although he is finally getting out of that.
