Gettin' loved on, rubbing my face on carpet, my fleece-covered airbed in the living room, being petted, sitting in the sun and at the top of the stairs, annihilating toys, did I mention getting petted?
Baths, not being petted, being wet at all, baths, animatronic toys, being told "no", being told to sit outside an open door, did I mention baths?
Plastic bottles, stuffed animals (I chew all the ears off, am I weird?), cow femur -- they last forever!
Nearby park, but my true love is checking out new smells on ranches.
Shake with both paws, rollover (really fast!) and speak (my favorite)!
My parents went to check out a benefit for the shelter my mom used to volunteer at, but it was too windy for them to bring us dogs out and they had their heart set on seein' some pups, so they drove to the shelter after the benefit just to see what was there. They had NO intention of adopting a dog! Dad saw me and thought I was a Viszla mix and instantly felt compelled to save me! He visited me EVERY day on his lunch hour at the shelter until he could adopt me, which took forever (testing, gettin' fixed, etc.). Dad had his heart set on saving me from death and his resolve stuck, even once I was diagnosed with heartworms. They brought me home with the intention of socializing and training me and finding me a loving home. It was hard to get a feel for my personality during my heartworm treatment, but once it was done, they fell in love with the goofy clown that I am! I am the goofy yin to my sister Disco's serious work ethic yang! I don't think my parents even realized what they were missing until I came along! I do my best to keep my parents in stitches with antics, wacky behavior and my Tucker-style talking! And I even take Disco's constant nagging and nipping in stride -- I just shrug and think, "Whatever," then roll on to my back.
Most people that meet me immediately agree with my parents that I'm part Weimaraner, but the other half is still a mystery. Mom and Dad are thinking Rhodesian Ridgeback due to my coloring, body composition and purple splotches in my mouth. They also think that maybe my other half is Lab, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, or something like that.
It's all good!
