Quick Bio:

December 26th 2003

Roxy loved to eat treats.

Roxy hates it when there is no food in the dish. She also thinks it is annoying when her mommy walks past the treat cabinet without giving her a treat! Roxy also hates to come in after lying on the deck outside.

Favorite Toy:
Roxy doesn't play with many toys anymore. She did, however, love to take them outside with her and plop them on the deck or in the yard.

Favorite Food:
Dingo bones, Pig Ears, Chewy Shoes with Laces, Real People Shoes, Flip Flops with Funky Embellishments.

Favorite Walk:
Through the PetsMart aisles, down the street, around the local elementary school when school is out, and in the downtown area of her city along the riverwalk.

Arrival Story:
Roxy was a graduation gift from graduate school.

Roxy came into my life as a graduation gift from graduate school in early 2004. It was a snowy day when we brought her home, and at the time, she was small enough to place on our countertop. Roxy was a lovable, friendly dog. She stole my heart. After just over three short years, she was taken from me all too soon. We thought little Roxy got out somehow and became lost from home. Something told me to check under our deck for her---a place she would never go ordinarily. At 2:30am in the morning on August 9th, I took a flashlight outside and shined it under our deck. I couldn't be too certain, but I thought I saw something. That something was my dear Roxy. When daylight came, I checked once more. It was Roxy. She was so far under our low deck that the animal control people had to come get her. The animal officer wrapped little Roxy up in one of her favorite blankets, and she was taken to her vet. This was yesterday. I have been hysterically sad, heartbroken, shocked... I miss her so much, and I cannot believe she is gone so soon from my life. That little dog did not deserve this. Roxy, I miss you. I love you, and I look forward to the moment when I can wrap my arms around you again and give you a kiss.
