I was scared, very scared

Yesterday was a holly day. I know because Mommy & Daddy got up early and went out for the whole day.

I don't mind holly days but I don't like holly nights.

The bad people in the park next to my house were making the bad lights and noises. They launch these colored lights in the air and the lights make a noise. Sometimes they go "eeeeeeeeeeee" and sometimes they just go "BOOM." The worst part is the smell. It smells like evil. Mommy says it's gun power but I've never smelled a powdered gun so I'm not sure.

I got really scared but Mommy & Daddy behaved themselves. When I got on the couch and sat behind them they both rubbed me and said nice things to me.

After a million years the bad people went home. Good thing too - I was afraid I wouldn't be able to go out for a walk.

The time I was so lonely

On Sunday Mommy & Daddy went out for many hours but only Mommy came back. She tossed me a cookie and then put Raven in her carrier and left. They were gone for weeks and weeks and I got really lonely. I'm not used to being by myself anymore and I don't like it at all.

After about 4 months Mommy came back with Raven. When Raven got out of her cage she ran and hid behind the stove. She didn't even stop to say hello or tell me what happened.

It took me 6 years but eventually I figured out that Raven went to my old house to see Auntie Kim and my kitten friend Oscar Elliot. She also got to meet Amenda. I was happy that Raven went to visit our family but I was still very sad at being left alone for decades at a time. I told Mommy I wouldn't let her do that ever again. Next time they'll take me too!

Snow Day!

It snowed today! Real snow this time. We had a few flakes the other day and I got really, really excited but by the time I went for my walk they were all gone. But today we're getting real snow. When Daddy gets home he's going to take me out in it so I can play. I live for this stuff!

My latest adventure

I had the most awesome time yesterday. In the afternoon Daddy put my Halloweed collar on me. I like wearing different collars because people like to see me celebrate the seasons and holidays. I live to make people happy.

Later Daddy got ready for work but he packed a lot more stuff this time. Some of it looked like my treats... Then he surprised me by taking me to the car. I love the car!!!

We drove for a long time and finally we stopped at a brick building. Daddy went in for a few minutes then came out. I thought we were going home but he took me inside. I hardly ever get to go inside places that aren't pet stores.

I looked all around and got really excited. We sat by Daddy's desk and everyone came over to meet me. They petted me and said nice things to me. I love them all. We stayed there for a really long time.

Daddy spent a lot of time looking at a computer and typing. That part was kinda boring so I ate some treats and took a nap. A couple times I decided that he needed a break so I jumped up in his lap. Well, as much as I can fit in his lap. It made the people laugh and that made me happy.

At the end of the night we came back home. I ran upstairs to tell Mommy about my day but she was sleeping. I did get to tell Raven all about my adventure. She's jealous - and she should be. I had a great time.

She's crazy

My mommy did something weird this morning. Truthfully, it wasn't just weird. It was also mean.

She got a box out of the closet in the hall and took it into the bathroom. Since she left the door open I followed her to see what was up. When she opened the box I saw that it was full of tiny white sticks. There must have been a bajillion of them. She took a bunch of the sticks and put them in another box. I was sure I'd get some sticks to chew on but she just put the boxes away and patted me on the head. I couldn't believe it!

Raven told me later that Mommy and Daddy use these little white sticks on their ears and sometimes Mommy uses them to do something with makeup. I don't understand makeup... And I don't understand why they use the sticks on their ears instead of chewing them like you're supposed to. It's official - parents are crazy.

It's cold again!!!

It was so cold last night that Mommy had to close the window Raven and I look out of. We didn't like that one bit but Mommy's the boss. And I was just happy that the weather is cold again. I've got lots and lots of energy to race around and play.

What's with this weather?

It was nice and cold for a while. I lost my summer coat and got my energy back. I even started playing with Raven. We race around the house. She wins a lot but I win sometimes. It all depends on what gets in our way.

So the cold weather made me really happy - - -until it got warm again. The last couple days have been warm and humid. I've been miserable! I drink a lot of water to stay cool but I haven't had the energy to race.

I love my little sister Raven and I've decided to let her share my treats. She licks the dog biscuts or meaty treats for a minute or so and then she's had enough. I also let her have some of the crumbs when I'm done. But I don't let her have all the crumbs - I'm not crazy!

Take me out to the ballgame

I went to a Mets game last week. Mommy & Daddy drove me down to Queens and we went to Shea Stadium. There were lots and lots of other dogs there. I made a ton of friends (and one enemy). I didn't see much of the game but I did get to parade around the field. And they gave me a really neat bandana. I love to wear bandanas now - Mommy says they make me look even more handsome than usual. Oh, and the best part? Raven had to stay home.

I had a wonderful day yesterday

Mommy & Daddy surprised me with a trip to PetSmart where I got to play with some kids and I met a really cool pitbull. She and I played for a super long time.

Then Mommy & Daddy took me for a ride. I love to ride in the car. This was a very good day for me. But then it got even better.

They took me to swim! I love to swim! We played with my bumper for a while. Then we went over to the ballfield so I could dry off a little. It doesn't take me long to dry off. On the way back to the car I met a little tiny dog and we made friends.

It was the best day ever!

Raven's big adventure

Last night when I got in from my walk Raven was waiting to sneak outside. She ran for it and managed to get out before Daddy could shut the door. Daddy woke Mommy up and the two of them worked on catching Raven. I'm not sure what they did but Mommy came back inside holding the kitten and looking upset.

Raven told me all about the stuff at the bottom of the stairs to the maintenance area (I'm not allowed to go there). I asked her where else she went but that was the only place. I guess she doesn't know that if you get free you're supposed to go to the car - then they take you for a ride. Oh well, she'll learn eventually.
