Science Diet puppy is his main food Favorite Walk: any where with people Best Tricks: stealing your heart Arrival Story: Davey is a very smart, happy and friendly fella who loves to sit in a lap and give hugs and kisses. He LOVES other dogs and does well with childen kids. When he wants you to play he will hold his toy in his mouth and go "woo woo woo" - it's ADORABLE!
Very extremely handsome with has one blue eye and one brown eye. Well built and atheletic, he really enjoys playing and running.
Here's his rescue story from the woman who found him in Mississippi:
I was getting gas and noticed a young man trying to sell his puppy, a very well-behaved 4 month old male. Many people came up to touch and rub the pup, pulling open his mouth. He just ate up the attention. When people would walk away the guy was kissing the pup, almost crying, hugging him so I knew he had a caring home. So I asked in the store what was going on with the fellow trying to sell his dog. Turns out he lived in a camper in the trailer park next door. He has 3 kids and someone in the trailer park called social services who gave him until the end of the week to get rid of the "dangerous" dog since he has kids. He said the dog lets his girls pull and tug on him all the time. The dog lets you take food away from him. His truck was also broken down and that is how he makes his living which is why he was trying to sell the dog. Kinda solve two problems at once. The owner was adamant about not letting Davey go to anyone who might be fighting. According to his wife he had an offer of $150 to take the dog, but he turned it down because he thought Davey might end up either fighting or being used for bait. Bio: Poor Davey - since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, there are so few people adopting animals down in the gulf. He waited very patiently to get into a foster program in a place where the people were more fortunate and there were more animal lovers, just waiting to welcome a new best friend into their lives.
Davey is about one year old now. He is neutered, has all his shots (Rabies, Bordetella, and combo) He has been in foster care since May 31st . He has been on heartworm prevention since 6/1/2006.
