Today would've been Genghis' 12th birthday.

We miss him SO much... still. always. forever.

Please Send Good Thoughts & Prayers

My big brother Genghis is VERY sick and may have to leave us in the next couple of days.

Mom & Dr. Lipton are trying one last thing to help him. If it doesn't work in the next 48 hours, Mom says she will have to make the hardest decision she's ever made.

Genghis is in alot of pain and Mom has been doing her best w/ all of our doctors to help him.

Please pray for my big brother. We need all the positive thoughts you can send us. We are praying and hoping.

It's My Birthday!

I am 10 years old today! WOW! TEN! And I feel FABULOUS!

(Well, except for my toes being sore...thanks to Mom & Dr. Morris, and the extreme nail trim I got last week...GEE, thanks Mom!) [HUGE SIGH]

It's a beautiful day here in Washington. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and I got to see a bunch of my buddies this morning! It's a lovely day for a birthday! [SMILE]

I'm going to have a great day with my cousins Sulley and Pearl! [SMILE]

I wish I could see all my other Dogster pals and have a BIG, BIG party with everyone - but since I can't, I just want you to thank you for being my pup pals and send you all BIG PEI KISSES!

[HUGE SIGH] So apparently the shrimp Mom is calling my little brother is really coming! [SIGH!]
She says he's really cute and that I will love him! We'll see about that! [WINK]

What kind of name is Uno anyway?! That's what I want to know!

At least, I'm named after a conqueror, as were my brothers. Mom says she's still working on a name for him, so he's going by the puppy name my Grandma Ellana gave him. She's apparently the one who named me "Bub." Bub?! Yup, seriously! That was MY puppy name! [HHMMPFFF!]

Anyway, stay tuned for the latest news! Til then, enjoy the lovely spring weather. I am, although my cousins Sulley and Pearl are having horrible allergy problems. Poor babies.

A New Brother?!

So....Mom has been mentioning the words "little brother" and "puppy" alot lately! Does this mean what I think it means?!!!!! Knowing Mom, it may! [SIGH]

I think I would actually be OK with it, but [HUGE SIGH]....MAN!...having to train another whipper snapper?! GEESH! I thought I was done with all that!

I have to admit I would LOVE the company. I LOVE TO PLAY! I do have Sulley and Pearl, but sometimes it's just me at home and I get lonely.

Let's be honest!...I've always been a momma's boy, but I'm even more of one now that Mom works from home! [SHHHHH!] I don't like it when Mom leaves me, EVER! I especially don't like it if she leaves me alone, even for a few minutes. Mom takes me over to Auntie Suz' alot, so I can be with my cuz'es...but sometimes I stay home alone and I HATE IT. HATE IT! Mom says I "pour it on," whatever that means!

But a little brother?! That would be cool. It'll be hard work...training him. But I loved having Kubie, and later lil' Ru in my life. When Sul came around, I was still mourning my friend Mel, so I didn't want to have anything to do with him. But eventually I came to love Sul and had a blast with him. He was a fun little guy! Tons of wrestling!

So...I'm keeping my ears open in case Mom is planning on surprising me. [WHAT WAS THAT?]

I Don't Do Baths!

Mom made me take a bath today! [EEEEEWWWWWWWW]

As everyone knows - or should know - Peis do not like water, and that is especially true of me! I'll drink the stuff, but that's it. I don't do rain, wet grass, puddles, and I certainly don't do baths! [OUTRAGED]

The worst part is that it was raining today! So the wet stuff was everywhere. I got wet getting to/from the car, had to walk on wet pavement, and - of course - got soaked at the bath place. What kind of horrid torture is this? [HHMMPFFF!]

I mean - seriously - how long did mom sit around and think up this up? What was she thinking?!

It was gross out there today. I was nice and comfy at home. I didn't ask for a bath! Who said I needed one, anyway?! Just because I hadn't had one in a while. Not my problem!

So, now I'm "clean" and recuperating from this nightmare. [HUGE SIGH] And I better not see any water - other than the stuff in my bowl - anytime soon!

I know my fellow Peis understand! [SMILE, WINK!]

Cocooning with Mom!

A perfect weekend! Mom has the weekend off...no doggies, no kitties!

It's freezing outside [BRRRRRRR!], so we are cocooning together...burrowed in bed!

The sun is pouring through the windows and we're just cuddling together, me and my mom! It's warm and cozy, there's nothing better! Pure purrrrrrrrrrfection! I'm a happy Pei!

Feelin' Fabulous!

I don't know about everyone else, but I feel gRRRRReat! [SMILE, WINK]

Mom is constantly fussing over me, telling me how fabulous I look! Well, of course I do!

I have to say, it's not just that I look good [if I say so myself!], but I do feel fabulous! For a Pei who'se getting close to 10, I feel younger and happier than I have in years! Mom being home all the time has made a huge difference...although, she still goes out sometimes [says she has to get groceries or tells me she's got errands to run!...yeah, right!] and I don't like it!

Mom's been giving me this really great smelly stuff with my food in the morning...YUM, love it! Something called cod liver oil! She takes it too. Says it's good for us, says she can tell it's making a difference! All I know is that it's my "special" breakfast and I LOVE IT! [HUGE SMILE]

Anyway, between my oil and my "bennies" (Cosequin), I feel really great! I have all this energy...I'm constantly running around, playing, talking [Oh yeah, I'm a big talker now!...more than ever!]. Seems I'm somehow getting younger as I'm actually getting older! Not bad for a "senior!" Senior my butt! I'm just getting started! Look out!

In other news, we have a new member of the family! My auntie got a new Pei, a girl named Pearl Ann. She's was rescued from really bad people who made her have lots and lots of babies. Some nice people helped her and got her to Auntie. She's really laid back...YA MAN! VERY laid back! She's cool! Sul wasn't really thrilled about it at first but he's warming up to her. He won't admit it, but I see it!

It got really cold here lately. I hate it! [HAAAAAATE IT!] Leaf season came and went. I pee'd on every pile of leaves I saw [still the "pee on the leaf piles " champ!] and prepared for winter! I supervised Mom while she winterized "my" garden and I told my fish to "chill out!" I know Mom's going to make me wear that stupid red coat [I'll never tell her I like it!] she breaks out every winter. [SIGH]

I made a ton of new pals this year, thanks to Mom's job. A few have even stayed with us. I still go to work with Mom sometimes and I still love it! It's cool being her assistant, cause that makes me "top dog!" [YEAH, I got it like that!]

Well, time to cuddle up for bedtime!
