I heard Mom talking on the phone today, and I think I'm getting a new friend really soon! She was talking about a Westie a last week, but now I think she's adopting a Dalmatian. I heard her say that she'd had three of them before I came along, so I guess she knows what she's doing.

Supposedly, there are six adult Dalmatains that need homes because their rescuer is sick and can't take care of them anymore, so she's going to adopt one soon. I feel bad - I know how sad it is to lose the home you're used to - but the new dog will really like it here. There's plenty of food, water, treats, and LOTS of hugs and kisses. We even have play dates with other dogs at day care! I promised Mom that I'll be the best one-dog welcoming committee ever! I'll play nice and share my toys, and I'll even show the new dog how to sneak on the bed after Mom is sleeping so she doesn't kick us off!

I think we're getting a female dog - maybe she'll be my girlfriend! ;-)
