Arrival Story:
When I bought my home, the previous owner left Abby. They had several other animals that they liked better & they took them. The previous owner had gotten Abby from the animal shelter, and she had made comments to the neighbors that Abby was uncontrollable. Nothing was further from the truth, Abby knows full obediance commands and is very sweet. She was starved for attention and had discovered that any attention was better than none. I believe she had been started as a hunting dog and turned out to be gun-shy, thus ending up in the shelter. If her former owner had only taken the time, she would have found out what a wonderful dog she had. But fortunately for Abby, she lives with me know in her forever home, where she is spoiled rotten!

Puffy Eye

I had a puffy eye this morning. I tried to tell mom that it was nothing, but she wouldn't listen to me. So I got benedryl in a pill pocket and some medicine drops in my eye.

I did get to go to work with mom so she could keep an "eye" on my eye. She thinks it has gone down this afternoon. I can't complain about keeping mom company at work. That's a plus! I get lots of petting and I even get special treats. I had my own cheeseburger for lunch... YUM!!

Nice weather

I've been enjoying some very nice weather for the past few days. Temperatures have only been in the mid to upper 70s for highs and the lows at night have been in the mid to upper 50s. Very unusual for east Tennessee during July. I say take advantage of it while it lasts!

I also appear to be healing/recovering extremely well. It has been about a week and a half since my incident. The only problem that mom can tell that I have is when I first get up in the morning. I'm a little wobbly then, but after walking for a few minutes I balance out and seem to be fine!

Much better

I'm doing MUCH better! The steroid reduction seems to be helping my "accident" problems. I'm walking very well, even have some spring back in my step. I was standing on my hind legs yesterday begging mom to let me back in the house after I finished my potty break. So I'd say I am definitely doing much better.

OH! And I forgot to tell you... I have a water bed now! *happy dance* Mom bought me one of those Cool Beds to sleep on. It's filled with water, just like those waterbeds that humans used to have. It's neat and I really like it!
