Today, my Aunt's kitty, Geezer, crossed the Rainbow- Bridge...

Bladder woes...

The doctor called Mom and said there are alot of bad things in my urine culture. I need to go tomorrow to get a blood test and get a different antibiotic. Also, Mom refuses to feed me that SD c/d food, so instead the doctor is gonna put me on a supplement to make my urine more acidic. She doesn't want my skin infections coming back, so she'd rather keep me on Canidae.

My Mom went back to the doctor today too and it turns out, she has a kidney infection. She is still feeling pretty lousy. And she's on lots of medicines that make her really sleepy. So we've been missing some morning walkies cuz Mom can't get her butt outta bed!

I hope we both get better soon. We are driving Daddy nutz!

Like Mother, Like Daughter...

Today Mom and I BOTH got a severe bladder infection! Mom walked us at 6am, went to the shelter from 7-10 to clean and do a vet run, and when she came back I leaked urine and blood on the carpet. Mom was really worried so she took me to the vet. While I was there, Mom went back home and started to get the same symptoms. Sure enough, she got one too! But she couldn't see her doctor and had to work at the shelter again from 5-7pm. Daddy picked me up from the vet at 6. Mom had to go to emergency care place. She had her pee tested and it's just like mine! Is this weird or what??? So we both feel pretty miserable and are both in pain. And we're both on medicine. Mom bought me a stuffed bunny cuz she knows how I feel.

Mom's gonna talk to the vet tomorrow to discuss what we are going to do now. No stones showed up on the x-rays so I may need a sonogram.

Well I better rest now. I hope me and Mom feel better tomorrow.

Darn!

I got a staff infection on my belly. Ugh. Mom has to take me to the vet but Daddy won't let her drive today cuz we're gonna get a big storm and maybe hail. She has some Prednizone here, so she gave me one of those. I will need antibiotics though, so we go to the vet tomorrow at 3:30. It's starting to thunder. I hope it doesn't last long so we get another walk tonight. Well I'm gonna go play with my new toy... Later!

So, here are 7 facts about me!

1. I only peed in the house one time when I was 9 weeks old. Mom told me "no", put me outside and just like that... potty trained.

2. When Nani came along, I could not stand him. I absolutely HATED him. Whenever he was around I made Mom pick me up.

3. When i was a pup, I ate a small box of crayons and pooped rainbows.

4. When I need to throw up, I ask to go outside.

5. When Mom gives us bones to chew on, I wait till Nani is finished, then I start eating mine... just to torture him.

6. I hate small children. I hope Mom never brings one of THOSE home.

7. I bark at those jets way up in the sky that leave trails behind them. I bark like CRAZY and kick my feet! They drive me NUTZ!!! Regular airplanes don't bother me though.

Texas Heat

Summer is setting in already. Bleh. That means Mom has to get up extra early for walkies. And we will get walked at night too. We don't do very well in the hot weather, and neither does Mom! She gets cranky when it's hot out. I think we would all prefer the snow!

Daddy has been walkin with us at night and that is WAY FUN! I like to tell him about what we do on walkies and show him all the bunnies in the neighborhood! Daddy lets me chase bunnies, but Mom yells at him. Sometimes I limp a little after running. Mom is no fun!

Cold Shoulder

Mom and Dad came back. Mom picked us up and I made her pick me up and put me in the car. I am pretending to be grumpy so they don't go away again. When they talk to me I don't look at them. When they offer treats, I act disinterested. When they try to cuddle with me, I just walk away. That will show them to leave me alone with these two dummys again.

But I am really happy to see them! Teeheehee...

Mom and Dad are taking a trip

They are going to Kentucky for a whole week. They are going to the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby! Mom's really excited! But I'm not too keen on the whole idea. We have to stay at a sitter's house. We met her and she is really nice. But I still don't like it. And Mom is really worried cuz I just got a UTI and I am on antibiotics. She hates to leave me when I don't feel good, but she has to go. But Mom does tend to worry a bit too much.
