I got bit

A couple of weeks ago I got to go to my vet. I went outside and something bit me and my eye swelled up to the size of a golf ball. Boy was my mommy ever scared. She called Dr Erin right away. I had to go in and they kept me all afternoon. I like it there, they are very nice and gentle with me. They gave me medicine and tested my eye. Mom said she did not want me to go blind. She said I had alot more bunnies to watch. I guess I had an allergic reaction to some spider bit or something I had to take pills for 3 days put mommie always wrapped them in peanut butter, yummy. I also had eye drops I do not like those. I am much better now.

The Snowman

Last week my human mom's grandchildren were at my house and they were playing in the snow in my backyard. After they left I went out to go potty and there was a giant white round guy in my yard. I was really scared I barked and barked and barked at it but it did not go away. I snuck up on it from the back and nudge it with my nose and it dropped a snow ball on me I ran like lightning back to the door. Boy that was scary that day. After a couple days I watched it and got closer and closer and it did not move so I jumped up to get a better look at his face and I smelt food. Sure enough a carrot on it's face. I nabbed the carrot and ran off to eat my great find. I guess it wasn't so scary after all. Mom explained it was just a snow person and would not hurt me. I have allot of stuff to learn about these crazy humans but they are fun to have around.

I AM BASSET OF THE WEEK

My picture was on Daily Drool since November 12 and I have just won Basset of the Week. My mom is nuts she sends our pictures in to everything. It would be cool if you won a raw hide or pigs ear. If us dogs ran these contest we would give prizes like T Bone steaks or my very favorite Ice Cream. Silly human foodslaves.

My Birthday

I was three last Tuesday Dec. 21 My mom gave me a little party with a bunch of special cookies and doggie sausage of course she had to get special kinds cause of my allergies Baxter and I had a special plate with all the goodies and we got yogurt we love yogurt. She kept giving me kisses and telling me happy birthday baby girl. Then when we went to bed she gave me a belly rub one handed she did not want to hurt Baxter's feelings so she used her other hand to give him one too. Next it will be Christmas, more goodies. Life is good.

We have two trees in our house.

There is something going on here and I don't think I like it. We have trees in the house but I am not supposed to use them and everytime I go next to it I get sparkles all over my tail. I tried to open some of the presents up and I got into trouble. Mommy said no do not do that again, I hope one of them is for me. They don't smell like food so maybe I don't want one. We don't go for a walk everyday anymore because it's to cold , but she still takes us once in a while, good thing we have the fenced yard to run around in. Some white stuff on the grass the other night but it was gone by the next morning. I wonder what that was about. Well I got to go, it's time for my belly rub.

Bailey met her new Vet

I have a new Vet,she is very nice and gentle. I even let her touch my ears . She did not scare me and I did not even shiver when She was examining me. I don't think I'll mind going to see her again. Me and Baxter were naughty today and broke my moms kitchen cabinet but when daddy came home he said WHAT DID YOU DO? Then he got his tools and fixed it. I think we better not do that again.

I knew something was up today

We got mashed potatoes and chicken for supper so I knew something bad was coming. Yup, sure enough if mom didn't have to clean my ears. I really hate that.
She lifts me up on a high counter so I can't get away and then it all starts. She keeps telling me this will make me feel good, I'm not buying it but I sure did like the tators and chicken. After the ear episode she gave me yogurt. I always forgive her for the ear thing then. Well it's off to bed to dream about the tators and chicky.
