Food, especially if he's managed to steal it!

The bath and the grooming table.

Favorite Toy:

Favorite Food:
Cathedral Cheddar Cheese

Favorite Walk:
Hadleigh Country Park

Best Tricks:
Guinness does lots of tricks including the usual sit, down, wait etc. Roll over is pretty cool, he also 'gives me five' if I ask nicely...and if I've got a piece of Cathedral cheese waiting for him!

Arrival Story:
Iwanted a black standard poodle for the conformation ring and began a countrywide search. Finally I found a breeder in Maidstone whose bitch had had a litter of 10 pups that very day. There were 5 whites and 5 blacks. Of the 5 blacks, 3 were dogs. We were lucky to be given pick of the 3 and chose Guinness (Kennel name Myall Pure Genius of Cachucha).

Guinness did reasonably well in the conformation show ring and qualified for and was exhibited at Crufts in March 2006. However, the show ring wasn't for him. He is much happier with his new found hobby of agility and is doing very well so far!

My visit to the V. E. T.

I went to the V.E.T. yesterday to have an operation on my eyes. I had entropion you see. The vet put me out while he cut a little section of skin away from below my lower eyelids. Mom says this will stop my eyelids turning in and stop the hair and eyelashes from rubbing the cornea.

I hope it works. At the moment I feel very sore and I'm having to wear on of those stupid Elizabethan collars. Horrid.

How super cool is that!!!
I got tagged by Remy and Albert!

Here are the rules of the game!

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

1. I was bred in Kent then came to Essex to live with my mom and dad when I was only 7 weeks old. Mom thinks I could have done with another week with my litter mates.
2. I like food. Any food really. Even the food the birds drop from nextdoor's bird table!
3.I love, love, love agility. When my Mom puts me into a sit and I have to wait at the beginning of a course I scream at her to let me go quick!!!
4. I hate the bath. It's horrible. My Mom has a terrible time trying to lift me into it because I fight all the way!
5. I used to be a show dog, but it wasn't my thing and I positively HATE hairspray. It makes me sneeze!
6. I love to sunbathe. I'd lay in the sun all day if I didn't get too hot!
7. I love cuddles and wish I could have been a smaller poodle. Perhaps a mini or even a toy!

I'm gonna tag, hmmmmmmmmmm, let's see, how about my pals:
Olivia, Princess of Poodledom
Coal Duende Silkwind

Merry Christmas...a poem by Guinness the poodle

Mum said 'it's Christmas'
And ran off with glee
She came back with a red hat
For Ruby and me

Then onto the table
We both had to go
The hat on our head,
Mum laughed 'Ho Ho Ho'

Then out came the camera
'They'll love this,' she said
'Two hairy poodles
With hats on their heads'

She took lots of photos
Or tried to at least
Until we were naughty
And were happily released

She carefully selected
The ones she liked best
And hopes that you'll like them,
That you'll be impressed

She told me to write this
With joy and with cheer
To say Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year!

Lots of Love
Guinness (& Ruby)
