My sweet girl Georgie has crossed the rainbow bridge tonight. She put up a good fight but she had a massive stroke which took away her body's ability to function. There are no words to describe how mommy's angel will be so missed here on earth. Until we see each other again sweetness. Run free with Annie, Molly, Boomer and your boypup Murphy.

love Mom

Sweet Georgie....my mom is crying after reading the news about you joining us at the bridge. It's been such a sad year for many furs and their famblies; we never expected another special Schnauzer to join us tonight. My fambly sends love and hugs to your mom as she mourns your loss.

Here's a special prayer from my mom to your mom:

A Parting Prayer

Dear Lord, please open your gates
and call St. Francis
to come escort this beloved companion
across the Rainbow Bridge.

Assign her to a place of honor,
for she has been a faithful servant
and has always done her best to please me.

Bless the hands that send her to you,
for they are doing so in love and compassion,
freeing her from pain and suffering.

Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss.
Help me remember the details of her life
with the love she has shown me.
And grant me the courage to honor her
by sharing those memories with others.

Let her remember me as well
and let her know that I will always love her.
And when it's my time to pass over into your paradise,
please allow her to accompany those
who will bring me home.

Thank you, Lord,
for the gift of her companionship
and for the time we've had together.

And thank you, Lord,
for granting me the strength
to give her to you now.

Amen.

What a beautiful prayer Spike sent. It says it all.

I will remember fondly all the great times we had in SR and cherish the valuable information I received from your life experiences. I love you Georgie.

You will always be in my heart and memories.

We were reading Ernie George's latest entry and just found out that you were not doing well, Georgie. Now we find out that you are in heaven.

We know you will have fun with Annie and Angel Bosco and Angel Bailey will love to have fun with you too.

We are so sorry for your loss.

We are so very sad for your fambly, Georgie. Your arrival was not expected so soon here at RB. We know how much you are loved and loved them right back. Fly free, sweet angel. Many hugs to your fambly.

A Parable of Immortality

"I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, 'There she goes!'

"Gone where? Gone from my sight....that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, 'There she goes!' there are other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, 'Here she comes!'"
