Arrival Story:
After a sad goodbye to my first dane and a move to Canada, I was very lonely ... dare I say suicidal? Well, close anyhow. As soon as we were able to get into a place with a yard, my husband said I could have another dog. And true to his word, as soon as we were out of the basement apartment (Oh, BTW, I don't recommend a basement apartment as a place to spend your 1st Canadian winter!!!!!!!!!) we started looking for a female dane. We found a breeder in Stony Creek that had a litter but only 2 boys were left. Well, we went to see them anyway & when my husband met them, he asked if we could have them both!! I was thrilled and scared, but mostly thrilled! We brought them home at 8 weeks old and our lives have been changed forever!

My mom laughs a lot. She laughs when I play and when I eat. She laughs when I sleep and even when I poo and pee ... seems she's always amused.
White stuff was falling out of the sky last week, very strange yet fun and soft. The next day it wasn't so soft, in fact it was hard and slick. My mom calls it ice. Being the GREAT dane that I am, I made the best of the situation.
After I learned how to manuever on that stuff there was no stopping me! Mom says the ridiculous new thing I do on the ice is (what she's calling) a "sliding pee" ... bear in mind I pee like a girl (and I'm kinda embarrassed about it)
I overheard her telling Grandma she thinks the way I slide across the ice makes me look like a black baby giraffe curling stone (with urine coming out). Can you imagine her saying that about me???? I am a little embarassed ... but not enough to quit : )
