Today is my 7th Barkday. Mommy is going to spoil me rotten today! I wish it weren't raining so we could go to the park or something. Or better yet, I wish it were snowing!

Feeling Blue

MY FRIEND BLUE IS MISSING AND IT MAKES ME SAD!

I DON'T LIKE TO THINK OF BLUE DOING ANY OF THESE ... IF HE IS WITH SOMEONE I HOPE THEY JUST HAVEN'T HEARD THE NEWS THAT HIS FAMILY IS SEARCHING. I HOPE SOMEDAY THEY WILL HEAR THAT HE IS A MISSING FAMILY MEMBER AND THEY BRING HIM HOME.

A note from Lily's mom.

Regarding recent comments made by a certain Whoopi Goldberg in reference to Michael Vick and his barbaric murdering of dogs:

I was born in Atlanta, raised in a small town in TN, I have lived in Charlotte, NC and currently reside in Knoxville. I have no clue why someone would think that dogfighting is part of “Southern Culture.” Grits and okra, definitely, but dogfighting? It is heartless and barbaric. I hope that no one else has that ignorant perception of the south or it’s inhabitants. Everyone is so quick to point a finger at “culture”, instead of taking responsibility for what they know is wrong. Mr. Vick, I certainly hope you have repented. As for Ms. Goldberg, perhaps she should spend more time in the real south, the one where we love and protect our animals, not murder them.

Prison, or so my brother Roscoe prefers to call it . . .

The kennel. That's where I was for 10 whole days. Mommy and Daddy decided that they needed a vacation. What? From US??? Me and the Roscoedog??? What Mommy? No way Mommy said, they just needed to get away for a while. Mommy admitted to me after they got back that she missed me and Roscoedog so much that they came back a day early. ^_^
I actually like the kennel. I just like to hang out and meet all the new doggies. We have a really nice kenneling facility at our vet. It's nice and new and they just love us there. Roscoe kept trying to get between me and any other pup that got too close to our kennel (we share). The staff called him my little body guard. I'm a Husky, they last thing I need is a body guard. Especially a little Jack-a-bea! BOL!!! Roscoe has to prove he's tough . . . behind a kennel that is. Bwawoowoowoowoowoo!
Well, we've had a hot, dry summer and I am ready for snow! Awooooo! Paws out to all my Husky's pawraying for snow.

Cancer is even more evil than I ever thought.

Our Aunt Netra's surgery went okay. But mommy just found out that the Friday before her sugery the doctor discovered that she had skin cancer too. OMD! They removed the skin cancer at the same time they did her other surgery so she only had to go through one surgery. She just went in to have a few pre-cancerous moles removed and the doctor found a mole that looked suspicious. It was sent off to the lab and they found Netra had one of the deadliest forms of skin cancer. Now she may have to have 6 weeks of radiation treatment for the skin cancer. It's just all so overwhelming for her. Please keep her in your pawrayers.
And don't forget the sunscreen!!! Protect your skin!

Cancer is so evil

Well everypup, just as we were getting over the cancer scare with our grandmother, we just found out that her sister has breast cancer. My grandmother pestered her sister to get her mammogram early this year, so she conceded and the doctors found 9 lumps! If she had waited even 6 months it may have been too late! She had her surgery on Monday and the doctor was cerain that he removed 90 percent of the cancer. The rest will be treated with a new kind of capsule radiation that they will insert via a tube. It is a new form of radiation treatment and it is supposed to be better and she only has the treatments for 5 days, instead of 6 weeks worth of regular radiation treatment. Please say a pawrayer for her. Her name is Netra (pronounced Neetra) and she just loves me and Roscoe to death. She has two pups of her own, Angus and Snoopy. Her husband Steve needs a knee replacement and he had a heartattack earlier this year! They are both still fairly young and are very active traveling all over the place, so all of this has kinda slowed them down. What a wild year it has been.

Wow! Both Bree and Thor were showing me some major love! Thanks guys, I totally heart both of you! :) Mom's been busy out of town so she's been slacking in her Dogster duties. Shame on you mom!

2. Hollie: We have the best time hanging out with you and your mommy Hollie! You are such a sweet and beautiful girl. And boy can you run fast! BOL. We love you Hollie! (from Roscoe and mommy too!)

3. Buddy: You dig the best holes! I am so jealous, BOL!!! Even though you live in fabulous Las Vegas, you'll always be a Tennessee dog to me! :)

No Cancer!

Yay! Our grandmother got the results from her biopsy/lumpectomy and it is not cancer! We are all so greatful. She is hoping to be back to work after next weekend. Thank you to all our pup pals and their families for the pawrayers.
