In Flanders’ fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders’ fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high,
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders’ Fields.

Good news!!!
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/137583/Feli ne-fine-the-rescued-kittens
THESE cute moggies have something to purr about after escaping death row thanks to Daily Express readers.
They came up with offers of homes for 80 cats and kittens at a cash- starved rescue centre threatened with closure.
And that would have meant them all having a lethal injection. But now these wide-eyed little wonders are happily off to new owners.
Readers have also provided Claire Hardwick, 37, who runs Decoy Kitten Rescue Service at Newton Abbot, Devon, with enough cash to pay £800 veterinary bills and stay open.
The appeal of our story and website brought in donations and support from Canada, Australia and the Cayman Islands.
Claire said: “Calls came in from all over the world. Thanks to your coverage we’ve been able to pay the bills and all the kittens will be fine.
“We would never put an animal down except as a last resort but we had nowhere to turn.”
The recession has caused donations to almost dry up.
Toby Hales, from Tiverton, Devon, and his partner read our story and quickly made an offer of a good home for a kitten. Dozens more followed – a case of Santa Claws calling early.
Cinders thought....dontcha just love it when the world comes up trumps?!?!?!?:)

Well on 31st October we had a breaking story over here about these poor lil cats that where on death row....
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/137226/Winks- is-one-of-60-death-row-kittens
WINKS the tiny tabby is one of 60 kittens facing death by lethal injection in just four days’ time.
Desperate attempts to find them a home, along with nearly 30 adult cats, have failed.
The abandoned cats are victims of the credit crunch as their home, the Decoy Kitten Rescue centre in Newton Abbot, Devon, is closing because of a lack of donations.
Claire Hardwicke, 37, who set up the charity, said: “It breaks my heart as it feels like we’ve put these kittens on death row.”
If you can save one, call 01626 205755 or 07904 733126.
