Birthday: May 5th 2004 Likes: He likes getting treats first and foremost. Then he likes sneaking things he is not supposed to have like table food, gum, candy etc. He likes chasing other dogs and going for rides to the park. Pet-Peeves: He does not like it when his brother Benny disobey's mommy. He does not like it when you ignore him. He is afraid of fireworks and thunder, and refuses to go outside if either one is going on. Favorite Toy: Tennis balls, ropes, destroying squeaky toys, and anything with a treat in it. Favorite Food: Peanut butter, mom's homemade dog food, and any treat (especially liver treats and chicken) Favorite Walk: Memory Grove (off leash) but a walk around the block works good too Best Tricks: Jumping through a hoop, Bang! (playing dead) Arrival Story: We decided one night to get a dog, we went to the shelter first to see what they had. We saw Rusty and fell in love with him immediately. We came back the next day. Rusty was mild mannered, responded well us and was submissive even with our daughter. However he has turned out to be quite a handful. No matter what we did we could not get him to go potty outside. His anxiousness appeared shortly after we got him. And his "bad boy" behavior is very apparent. Actually he is rather sneaky. But we love him and he will be celebrating his first anniversary of coming into our home this November! Forums Motto: Have you been around another dog? Finally, basic training is over. I was really good yesterday and had lots of fun. My brother Benny on the other hand was terrible and had to sit in the middle so Mom could work on his "Stay". He was really bad, he wouldn't even stay still for 2 seconds, what a bum.
So mommy brought me and Benny home some new footballs. I LOVE footballs. These ones weren't squeaky or anything but they were just as much fun.
I love teasing Benny as he tries to get the ball from me and he is chasing me. I was the happiest dog.
I guess mommy bought one for my people sister Abby also. Mommy and Abby were throwing it and I wanted to catch it. So I jumped up and got it, well I knocked little Abby down. Mommy was pretty mad at me. I don't understand, they were throwing the ball and I got it like I always do.
After we came inside the house I had Benny chase me a little more. Then we were done playing and I layed down with the ball and started chewing it, my next favorite thing to do. Mommy took the ball away. I guess she didn't like me tearing it apart.
Hopefully Mom will let me play with them again soon.
I think this is so exciting, I love this new thing my mom and dad have done to meet new friends.
My name is Rusty. I have a brother Benny. Of course since I am older I like to pick on him. We fight daily and he challenges me to see who is the top dog in the house. Of course everyone knows it is me.
I also have a people sister Abby. She tries to tell me what to do. I only listen to her if she has food.
I like to get in trouble. Most of the time I don't like to listen. So my mom and dad take me to obedience classes. I know what they are trying to do. So I listen really well when we are there, the other dogs call me "the teacher's pet". I'm okay with it. Now those dogs need obedience, not me. I already know what to do, I just don't want too.
You know what really bothers me is my brother Benny. I know I am mommy's favorite, but then he had to come along and try and get on her good side. He licks her all the time. Well mom says that it's Benny's turn to tell everyone about him. I do not like this sibling thing.
