Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

Not me! I was bred to fight them! *grrrrrrrrrrrrowl!* I have a new job! Since mom works all by herself in a secluded corner office, the rest of the building is dark, and she never knows when all the other people in the building (all men) have left, dad's bringing ME to work!!! I have a job! I'm so excited, when I found out I was gonna get to guard something I thumped my tail and started to drool! I wonder what it'll be like. I hope there are nice people, and maybe bones. Or other dogs! Or a couch to...yawwwwn...lay on, y'know, just while I...yawwwwwwwwwwwn...take a break from....zzzz...guarrrrding....

I'm so excited! (I'm always excited.) I have two Pup-pals! It's good to be loved. It feels like itching my bum under my favorite tree, or snuggling up to my person and having them cover me with the blankets.
It's been a big week for me! The 26th was my birthday, which makes me 4 years old and an official adult. I forgot it was my special day but Mom reminded me and I wagged my tail so hard I just about knocked Jack over! Mom made pumpkin cupcakes in the evening and she and Dad brought me the biggest one and sang Happy Birthday to Me! I ate my cake in one bite. Champagne and Jack got half a cupcake each. They were so delicious I ate the wrappers out of the garbage! It's normally a Champagne thing to do. I even surprised myself! Then next day I got a beef bone, yum! Simple things make me so happy.
Grandma and Grandpa pulled the tomato plants out of the garden on Saturday. That means Jack and I don't have any red tomatoes to forage for. We're pretty disappointed; that took up a great deal of our time. Champagne invited us to dig holes instead.
