It is with a very sad heart that I have to announce China's departure for the Bridge this morning. She was an old, old girl at 10-1/2 years and was becoming quite creaky. Having said that, she still had a good quality of life and the pain meds relieved the aches and pains of arthritis.

However, last night China had a heart attack and was clearly a very sick dog. My husband and China's dearest daddy took her to the vet this morning and it was clear that we had arrived at the end of the road for her. She passed to the Bridge peacefully in her daddy's arms.

We are devastated that our precious girl has gone. I know the pain of grief will grow less as the days pass but we will never, ever forget this beautiful dog who overcame such an horrendous start in life.

Bless you darling, always in our hearts.
