A month short of five years little girl. And I still miss petting you on your curly head. And smelling your powder smell when you had a grooming.

I can't believe it has been so long.

We have your picture near the side door, where you liked to run out and play in the yard. It is the one where you are wearing that little red sweater and you look ready to run and have fun.

Tomorrow I am going to bring a puppy back in that door...a buff cocker like you. She won't be like you, and I know that...but I know I will think of you whenever I see her.

Her name is Cookie. I am rescuing her. By giving her all the best treatment she can have I guess I think it can be like having you back in a way and spoiling you again.

Run free little girl. There will come a day...
