First day at Doggie Day Camp

OK I have a beef. Why does Freedom get to stay and play and I had to come back to the room? There was ALOT of dogs in there..... and, and I got excited and more excited.....ok maybe I was trying to be bossy.....a little......but they didn't have to take me out of the playroom. Man, that's not fair. I know mom is going to get a call from the lady that took me out. :o < But there were a lot of other dogs and some went nice to me either. :o < I'm going to tell mom it wasn't my fault. Man. (pout) :o < I'll have to try harder to be good tomorrow.

A mother's fear...

Mom came home yesterday with her eyes a little red. I over heard her talking to dad while I was chewing on a bone...so they thought. She told dad that she was on the internet and looking around on dogster and felt inspired to go to the City Animal Services site. She scrolled down and saw the cute little fuzzy face that looked like me. WHAT? ME? What was I doing in the pound? She said that she call my first mom, Cristy, and told her to go on and look and see if this was one of my puppies. Mom Cristy went on and looked and told mom that it looked like my fawn baby girl but she was going to call up the RAS and ask if she had a spot of blonde under my left eye. Mom Cristy called mom back and told her that "I'm almost positive that it's LIberty's puppy". So mom went to the Animal Services after work to see her and take some pictures. She told dad that it was so sad because she was dirty, skinny, and cowerd down when you put out your had to pet her and she had been over bred for a 2 yr. old. She didn't have enough to eat or drink and they didn't give her a good house to live in. THEY WENT AS FAR AS TO HITTING HER!!! MY PRETTY BABY GIRL!!!!! HOW DARE THEY PUT THEIR HANDS ON HER TO HARM HER AND THEN USE HER FOR THEIR MONEY MAKER!!!!!

Mom went on to tell dad that she loved laying next to the lady there and giving her kisses and having her belly rubbed. Dad wanted to know if they wanted credit, cash or charge to bring her home. I guess my baby girl needs some vet services to look at her neck with a lump on it and have her spayd. Some humans shouldn't be able to own fur babies.

OOOOOOHHHHH THAT MAKES ME SO MAD THAT THEY DID THAT TO MY SWEET LITTLE GIRL!!!!!!! Mom Cristy said that was one of her fears as it was mine. She thought she was doing the right thing when she sold her to that couple.

This is a mother's fear for her little ones.

WHAT A DAY!!!!!

Woke up briefly around 7:15 a.m. and relocated on the bed with mom when dad left for the fire dept. and snoozed for an hour or so. Woke up and watched the last part of the dog show and some Good Dog U while mom got ready for our busy day.

Our first stop was to say Hi to Joey, he's my buddy at the garage. Mom wanted to get a disk of pictures that he took of me yesterday with his new birthday camera.

Then it was off to visit my first family before I came to live with my mom and dad now. It was great seeing mom Cris and the kids again. They are getting so big. They were so happy to see me especially mom Cris. She gave me kisses and hugs and belly rubs. She and mom were talking about my babies that I had 2 yrs. ago and how big they were and are getting. Mom Cris said that there are a few of them that live close by. We're going to see if maybe I can go see them or meet at the park and have a reunion with my "little" ones. Mom Cris said that one of my boys weighed 100 lbs. at 5 mos. old. WOW! that's my boy. Then mom Cris showed mom some pictures of me when I was a puppy like 7 wks old. Boy, was I a cutie. Then we took some more pictures on mom Cris' cell phone. I'm so glad that we all live so close to each other so I can visit my other family once in a while and see how they are doing. I got to see my dad Matt too before mom and I had to leave. Mom really liked hearng about what I was like when I was younger. What a lucky dog I am.

On the way home we stopped and got lunch and went to visit with Joe, Karen, Joey and "Flacko", that's what they call him b/c his name is Joe too. I had to make the rounds around the back garage area to make sure that everything was safe and secure. Joey and Flacko were cleaning things up and moving things around. Joey likes his shop tidy. They repair fire trucks and ambulances.

After we left there we drove by dad's fire station to see if dad was finished with teaching his extrication class to the newbies. They had just brought the rescue truck back and cleaning it up when of course I had to go in and give the low down who was boss and that I had dad's back. They seem like a good group of guys. Mom knew one of them from working in the high school about 7-8 yrs. ago.

When mom and I got home I had dinner and watched little bit of Firehouse Dog. He was pretty talented dog. After that I was so tired I had to talke a nap. I was dreaming of doing some of those stunts like the dog did in the movie. When I woke up, mom asked who I was chasing. If she only knew.

Thank you mom Cris for letting me come live with my new mom and dad. I am happy and yes, spoiled but I'm loved too....ALOT. I just wish all pups and dogs were as luck as me to have two families that love me so much.

Well, I have to get my cookies and go to bed, I'm one pooped out puppy.
Wow, what a day.

I have AWESOME friends!!!!

HI, Liberty here, I just want to write and let everyone that reads my diary, THAT I HAVE THE MOST PAWSOME, COOLEST, LOVING & GENEROUS FRIENDS IN ALL OF THE DOGSTER PARK!!!

Now with that let me tell you why they are so PAWSOME.

My buddy Hooch (http://www.dogster.com/dogs/654592 ) is in much needed help to get some tests done to see if he is diabetic. He lives with his Foster mom Justine, she's a sweetheart, and the One Tail Rescue needed money to help pay for the vet bills for the tests that are needed. So, my mom put out a all points bulliten out to the Bodacious Bullmastiff Group to see if we could get some funds raised for Hooch. That was on Jan 24th at 10:14 a.m. est

Then some of the members put out the word to other friends. And when mom checked the fundraising site this morning it said $710 was secured for Hooch. WOW! WOW!! Mom was so happy that she had tears in her eyes and a big smile. My buddy is at the vets today and I can't wait to hear how's he's doing. I have my paws crossed and saying prayers for him.....can you do that too.

WOW all that money in 6 days. That's got to be a record or something.

Can I tell you that I have the most pawesome friends in all of Dogster land. :o )

My New Years Resolutions

DOG RESOLUTIONS
- I will stop trying to find the few remaining clean pieces of carpet in the house when I am about to throw up.
- I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc.
- I will not chew my human's toothbrush and not tell them.
- When in the car, I will not insist on having the window rolled down when it's raining outside.
- I will not bark each time I hear a door bell on TV.
- I will not walk under the big dog when he is peeing.
- I will not steal Mom's underwear and dance all over the back yard with it.
- I will not play tug-o'-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.
- I will remember my head does not belong in the refrigerator.
- I will not bite the officer's hand when he reaches in for Mom's driver's license and car registration.
- I will remember the garbage collector is NOT stealing our stuff.
- I must shake the rainwater out of my fur BEFORE entering the house.
- I will wipe my paws at the door after walking in the mud.
- I will not fart in mom's face when she's not looking and the turn and walk away.
- I will not eat the fish's food.
- I will not sleep on the heat vent in the bedroom on cold winter nights. ;o ]
- I will try not to snore and wake up dad in the middle of the night during the week.
- I will give all my love, and devotion to my family for all the days of my life.

Well the Christmas Holiday is almost here and first I want to wish my friends a Merry Christmas and a VERRY Happy New Year.

I've been very busy this month. I had to make sure that mom put up the Christmas lights outside up right and that everything was working correctly. Quality control is an important job and I take it seriously. Then we had to shovel the driveway b/c of all the snow that fell. Mom & dad call me the snowplow because I just plow through the snow when I run. She did most of the shoveling while I ran around the yard plowing through the deep snow....and making more work for mom. :o )
Then there was putting up the Christmas tree. Mom does a pretty good job with that. She knows to hang the soft orniments and the bells down towards the bottom of the tree so I can chew 0r ring the bells with my tail if i want or just by walking by the tree. It looks pretty good, it would be better if there were treats and dog bones hanging from it. NOW THAT'S A CHRISTMAS TREE MY FRIENDS!!
Then last week I had to go and get ready for guest to come over so mom and dad treated me to a "spa" day, I got my fur and nails done and they gave me a pretty snowflake bandana. So, I'm ready for the party.
Oh, and don't for get all the gift wrapping. WOW, that's hard work with paws so I just had mom do it for me, it just cost me a big old sloppy kiss. She's such a push over.
Dad's been busy like mom and I, he's been out running on fire calls. Man some people just don't know how to drive in snow or they are in such a hurry that they just run into others. He's only been to one fire this week but it was a barn with no animals in it. It's not always easy being a Battalion Chief.
