Birthday: August 7th 1996 Likes: Food!!! Biscuits, kibble, people food, anything edible? Pet-Peeves: What are pet peeves? Do you have them because I don't. Favorite Toy: Pig ears. Why? Because they are easy to chew because I am getting too old to chew my other favorite- rawhide. Though I attempt it sometimes. My philosophy regarding chew toys is "it's not worth taking the time to chew it unless the rewards comes easily Favorite Food: Anything the tastes good!!! I run when I here the whip cream can start up. I love my daily kibble and get totally excited when it is dinner time. Favorite Walk: Around the lake or anywhere. I enjoy going to new places. I'm curious what's on the other side of the human store doors? They don't let me in! Best Tricks: I can sit, down, paw, other paw, speak, leave it, release (after leave it), drop it, jump, heel, and growl on my command. I can find and do a whole lot more. I can have a treat set on my nose and wait until the command to throw it up and eat it. Arrival Story: My family was looking for a boxer puppy to replace a boxer that had passed away for some one in the family. They came across me and my family. Born on August 7, 1996 in Colorado, out of Valley High's Diamond Rio and Exquiste Copper-Penny, I was the one who looked almost exactly like the one that was at the bridge. My family also got my sister, Kema, for themselves. I loved her like no other and we loved to curl up together but she passed on to the bridge on October 22, 2005 to IMHA. Well, the family member that I was going to just lost her other boxer to cancer and she moved into an apartment with a no dog policy so I ended up staying with my sister and her (now my) family. Bio: I am a big love bug and loyal friend. I love a good rub and like to be scratched behind the tail. On hot days I love to play in the sprinklers but I don't like swimming. I'm a good walking buddy and a great friend. I have lived in Colorado, Utah, and Texas. My day mainly consists of napping. I love car rides and traveling. Other than Colorado, Utah, and Texas I have been to California, Arizona, Wyoming, Washington, Nevada, and New Mexico. At four I had to have a mast cell tumor removed and it left a 6 inch scar down my back. Hey it's my trademark and not to mention that I survived! I am always there for you. I sometimes get the goofy bug and act like a pup. I enjoy playing hide and go seek. I also like to run around house if with you if you pretend to run from me. Dubbed the best pal around! I was out walking Rocco on his daily walk. It was 8 pm and we were half way through the normal walk when he started like tripping. He then crashed to the ground and had what appeared to be a really bad seizure. For a second I thought I had lost him. This is a first for him. I called my dad to come pick us up with the car. Rocco regained consciousness but was really out of it. Basically dazed and couldn't do anything. I carried him to the spot where I told my dad to meet me. He couldn't stand and so I told him to lay down. We got him home and just let him regain himself. It took awhile but he finally got up and drank some water. He seems to be back to himself to a degree. He skinned his chin. I'm suprised he didn't hit his head or break something.
He was even keeping up better than usual on his walk today. And today for his dinner I did this hide and go seek thing (keep his mind active) and he acted like a spring puppy. So today for such a thing to happen is a shock. I called a vet who suggested for his age heart failure. I told him he was coming back to himself and the vet said he would probably get better. So I will take him to the vet in the morning. I still feel it is a seizure but I don't know what caused this sudden attack.
He rescently had surgery a couple months back to remove a sebacious adenoma. They did a good blood test on him and the vet said everything looked good. I just don't know.
