RIP Hayley

I just wanted to let everyone know that today, around 12:45pm, Hayley passed. She was one of the most important people in our family's life.

Good news

Hi everyone! I got good news the other day. It all started very early in the morning, my sisters woke me up REALLY early and then took me for a ride in the car. I was excited but I had a feeling I was going to either the Dog Spa or the vet so I was on high alert. Well, I was right...we went to the vet. I had to have ANOTHER echo to check out my heart. I was shaking like a leaf but the vet and all the nice people made me feel better. My sister was even there rubbing my snout. They put some cold jelly on my belly and took pictures of my heart. Then they put this cuff on my back paw and checked my blood pressure. THEN they put something called "leads" all over...the doctor said "no arrhythmias" and my sister smiled so I think that is good. The best news of all...there were no changes from my heart testing in July!!! I was so happy, my sisters gave me lots of love and I slept the whole ride home!!! WooHoo!

Gaggle of Geese!

I got hissed at by a gaggle of geese today! I went for a walk by the pond with my mommy and my sister. Things were going good; I was enjoying sniffing the trees until we came upon a gaggle of geese. I didn't even bark at them, I was just going to walk right by and then all of a sudden...I hear "hiss...hiss...hiss". I got pretty scared because they even opened their beaks at me. But I just kept on walking and thankfully I walked right to the car and went home! Phew!

Well, I also went to see the vet this week. I usually get scared and shake like a leaf but not this time (I think because my daddy was with me!). The vets were really nice to me. They put this cold jelly stuff on my chest and took pictures of my heart...I even got a belly rub! After the test was all over the vets came out and gave me some medicine to take for my heart. The medicine is good, is tastes like a treat...much better than the other pills I take (yuck!). Hopefully when I go back in a couple months to take more pictures of my heart the vets will say I'm all better (woohoo!).

Ahhh! I got to go, my puppy sister Lucy just woke up from her nap so I gotta go hide my toys before she steals them! Catch ya later!

Ch-ch-changes

Hi K9s! Well, it's been a while since I've written in my diary. Things have been quiet around my house lately, just been gardening with Daddy on the weekends and playing with my two human cousins when they visit. But all that has changed...

MY FAMILY GOT ANOTHER DOG!!!!!!!!! She is a Schnauzer (only 3 months old). Her name is Lucy. She is ok I guess. I have been a good girl to her, I let her play with all my toys (even my two prized lamb stuffed animals). I let her sniff me and come very close to me but sometimes she tries to bite me and paw me. Mommy says she's just playing but I get scared. I have been a good girl though, I always walk away and bark her down but she can out bark even me and that's hard to believe. I still get to sleep on Mommy's bed at night and go for rides in the truck all the time.

I also got very sad news on Saturday...my K9 mother died :( Her name was Annie, and people say I looked just like her. I know she is on The Bridge watching over her family and all her beautiful pups.

I'm 6!

I haven't been on Dogster for a while so when I logged in it took me a while to get used to the new look of the website.

Anyway, I turned the big 6 last week (which is 42 in dog years). I am getting so old! I had a good birthday, I even got a big apple and yogurt cookie to munch on. My family sang a song called "Happy Birthday" to me and gave me lots of tummy rubs. That is the life!

Hayley Is Back

Hi Dogs! I haven't been online in a long time! My family got a new computer and my paws had to get used to the new keyboard. I hope all is well with my pup pals!

Guess what? My sister entered me in The 3rd Annual World's Coolest Dog Show! Woo-hoo! Even if I don't win, I hope a Schnauzer wins something because I've watched all the dog shows on TV, Schnauzers never win. I don't know why we never win, Schnauzers rule!

Well, the weather is starting to get cold around here...I've been wearing my red jacket when daddy takes me outside. Thanksgiving is coming too...and that means squash for Hayley (yummy!). Well, I am going to go stay warm in my bed, nighty night, sleep tight!

Groomed

Hello my friends...today I went to the Dog Spa and got groomed nice and short for the summer. My two Schnauzer pals Ashley and Libby were also there today...it was a Schnauzer party indeed. I was really tired this morning but as soon as my sister carried me to the front of the Dog Spa I was on high alert. I started shaking so my groomer friend had to carry me out back. I had a fun time and was so excited when my sisters came to pick me up. As I was headed out the door, this little dog (even smaller than me) started to bark at me. I was a little scared of it but as soon as I saw my sisters I wasn't scared anymore. Usually I would bark right back but not at the Spa, I don't want to get a bad reputation!

Well, my daddy had to work late and he just got home so I am going to go play with my toys and bug him while he reads the paper. Catch ya later!

Big 4th

Yesterday was the 4th of July and my mommy and daddy had a big party with the family. I was so excited; I even had my red, white, and blue bandanna on. My mommy said when she went to the parade she saw my two Schnauzer friends Ashley and Libby there with their mommy and daddy. My mommy didn't bring me because I was outside with my daddy working in the garden (I love to get really muddy!). Daddy said maybe next year I can go to the parade, or even be in it (Hahira).

Anyway, my day only got better when my auntie came over and brought me back a special gift she got for me in Disney World. I got a cool blue shirt with a picture of a dog named Pluto on it. I'm not sure about Disney World but I like my shirt. Oh, and my two little cousins (the human kind) came over to play with me too. I get tired after spending time with them but I have so much fun playing in my yard and chasing them around.

When everyone left I was ready to drop, and I did. I climbed into my bed (that’s red, white, and blue hearts) and is in front of the air conditioning vent. What a day I had! Today it is a rainy day so I hope I can take a long nap soon.

Father's Day

Well hello my friends! I haven't written anything in a while but I've been one busy dog. Yesterday was Father's Day and I spent every minute with none other than my daddy. I played out in the yard with him while he worked in the garden but I got so hot that my sister took me inside. She is really smart because she wet my bandana with water and put it in the freezer so when she put it on me it would look cute and cool me down.

I got my daddy the BEST present too! My sister helped me make him a cool scrapbook from Shutterfly with pictures of me through the years. He really liked it. I thought it was pretty cool myself. Anyway, I am going to go drink some water from my bowl...got to keep hydrated in this heat! So long my friends!
