Imagine being in a cage , in the corner , shivering and shaking , can't walk, matted to the bone, can't see from the hair covering your eyes and no one wants you . Thats how it was for Miss Dixie Monroe. Her mommies went to "Warl" ( Washington Animal Rescue League) to rescue another pup that they had seen on line , but it wasn't a good match. They saw me there but my cage had a sign that said "unadoptable".Imagine That " unadoptable ". On their way out they inquired about me and were told that i wasn't adoptable because i couldn't walk . They left , but i haunted them all night. In the morning they called Warl and asked if they would reconsider and let me be adopted as they had the perfect home and set up to accommodate me and my needs. The rest is history .. I came home on Memorial Day week-end to join a family full of love with plenty of siblings for me to hang out with. Without them the 2 years and 7 surgerys it took to get me on my feet would have never happened , not to mention they amount of money, love ,therapy , and sleepless nights of constant worry. Today i have blossomed into a beautiful gal , that can get up and walk fast with the pack for breakfast , dinner or a treat .. and can finally manage once carried outside to stand up without any help to go potty ! Now if this isn't true love and willingness to adopt i don't know what is ! Adopting is one thing , but adopting a handicap pup its true LOVE ! Like they say ,
LOVE AT FIRST SITE ! Don't ever walk away , if you can adopt .. please do .. save a pets life !
