Aunt Deb update 9/3/ 09

Aunt Deb is doing great even though she sez she looks like a blimp! The doctors aren't concerned , they said that the more mobile she gets all the fluid will go away but they are giving her a diuretic . The last drain came out tonight ( ouch! )from the incision site ... she is off oxygen but has breathing treatments ... she does have a urinary track infection so they are treating that .. but they say the new liver is working beautifully . Now they have had to increase the anti-rejection meds from 2 to 4 a day because she is having the 'squirts' and they say she is getting rid of the meds tooo fast ! But all in all she is doing GREAT ! Again we pray for the families loss that has given Aunty Deb a new chance at life. They say its about a 4 month recovery and in 6 months she should be back to normal as long as no complications arise . Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers along with the donors family .
