My mom sez she hafs to type dis one ...
Thank you to each and everyone of you . You have been an enormous amount of strength and support for us! Thank you for all the POTP, candle lighting and rosettes! Your friendship and support is amazing ... now for Aunt Debs update .... For those that don't know she has been on the liver transplant list for 2 years and had been becoming more and more debilitated and sick . The diseased liver was affecting her heart, kidneys and causing so many different illnesses and problems, but on Sat .8/29/09 that all changed . She was in the hospital with again another complication and was seriously ill when they told her they "might have a liver " before the week-end was over ....sure enough by late Sat. morning she was told they did for sure! She was scheduled for surgery between 3&4 p.m. which got bumped to 11:00p.m. and bumped again until 8/30/09 when the surgery took place at 7:10 a.m. !!! It was a 6-7 hour surgery, but it gave me time to get on a plane and get there. Ninety miles outside of Atlanta we were put in a holding pattern because of storms and had to make a detour to Chattanooga Tennessee for fuel ! we finally got clearance for take off and .. oops not so fast.. Atlanta said no planes coming or going just yet ! I was getting very anxious , but made it just after she came out of surgery . The surgeons say she received a very healthy liver and they expect her to make a full recovery . Each day she is making great strides today she walked 210 feet ! They are removing tubes etc. everyday .. so she is getting more and more better ! I tell her each day is a new day of being healthy , not another day of being sick ! She is my HERO ! I know i could not have made it through what she has been through ! Once again We her family ..THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF YOUR HEARTS FOR EVERYTHING , PRAYERS, CANDLES, ROSETTES, POTP'S AND FOR THOSE THAT DONATE MONETARILY TO HER CAUSE .. WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL ! Please do keep her in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and also for the family that lost their love one . It was their loss that has given Deb a new life and we must not forget them .. as we know how they must be grieving. God Bless them and you all .
With Forever Gratitude ,
Pat
