Adoption .... perceived through the eyes of a Maltese or any breed waiting on death row... this is my story and why its so important to give us a second chance at life. I'm not sure if i was dumped , or i ran away , those memories are gone from my mind ... but lost wondering on the streets in busy Philadelphia isn't. All sounds are scary , cars , trucks, sirens, night sounds,OH the thunder is horrendous .. looking for your next meal on the streets can really take some creativity and cause long lasting tummy problems. Then i am found .. shoo0.. thank goodness i was really getting tired, but its what happens next that is the scariest. Its a high kill shelter where every pup is frightened all barking for food, attention, love, a warm bed and a big heart to love you . You wait , and wait , hoping that you will be the chosen one and the right family doesn't come , you find yourself in the euthanizing room wondering why is this happening to me ....I have so much love to give won't someone give me a second chance ? ... when ANNIE TRINKLE OF ANIMAL ALLIANCE SHOWS UP and my life is forever changed !!!! I am in my foster home...I am loved, cleaned , feed, have a good vet check up , my painful teeth are removed, and i am spayed ,yes i am loved, kept warm and safe till my forever family comes to get me ! I am at peace , no more worries EVER and then the day comes my forever mom and dad have found me , I am finally home !!! Adoption is the only way to go ..this is the story for so many other lost or unwanted pups, or pups that family situations have changed, they have so much love to give .. why not give them the second chance that they so deserve.We are forever grateful , loving companions.The kisses we give are endless,the love we give endless, the trust endless, the devotion endless.... My good friend CoCo Beans mom( Terry) has shown that to me over and over by her love and devotion to rescuing and fostering pups til they find their forever home just like i found mine . Coco Beans mom works with.. http://www.shihtzurescue.us in Indiana... She is the only foster home for this rescue, although she also works with the local pound. She has fostered three Shih tzu's Kobe, Holly, and is working with placing Lily at this time . Her love for animals is an inspiration . My mom hopes that one day when she is not working the real 9-5 job that she can follow in CoCo Beans moms footsteps and rescue and foster also ! What a fulfilling , fun occupation ! ADOPT....
